Searching Hermione & Snape split and she finds out she's preg!

Hello

Im looking for a fic where Hermione and Snape are together (after Hogwarts) and I think live near each other – or snape is doing up a house.

Snape leaves Hermione, she finds out she’s pregnant but can’t get in touch. Something about she sends him letters, but he has left for Hogwarts and the letter sits above his fireplace. I think Magonagal may be ill and he goes back to be headmaster.

Somehow they come back into each other's lives and Snape finds out he’s a dad.

There is a scene where they have chips on the floor.

Not sure if this is what you are thinking of, but it has similar elements to the characters and plot.  Even if its not the one you want, it is a very good hg/ss story.  It is called Hilltop Cottage.  I couldn’t seem to find it in the search part of this site, but maybe the moderators can.  Cuz now I want to reread it!
