Guest bob Posted June 27, 2016 Report Posted June 27, 2016 Can anyone do a rewrite or continue writing the fic Don't betray a demon
Melrick Posted June 27, 2016 Report Posted June 27, 2016 The only way this could be allowed is with the express permission from the original author. Otherwise it's plagiarism and will be immediately deleted.
Guest Spyash2 Posted June 28, 2016 Report Posted June 28, 2016 And considering the original author hasn't been on this site for god-knows how long, that is unlikely.
yuuya26 Posted June 28, 2016 Report Posted June 28, 2016 You can always write a similar one with a different title. I dont think anyone can tell you what to do with that.
DemonGoddess Posted June 28, 2016 Report Posted June 28, 2016 Doesn't matter. If someone wants to do this, they need to get permission.

Trust me, if someone does a rewrite, we'll hear about it, and we'll remove the rewrite, and possibly the author, for plagiarism. We take a very dim view of plagiarism, and just because someone hasn't updated in a while doesn't mean their hard work is up for grabs. And just because no one seems to actually read the Terms of Service, I'll quote it for you: You understand that when posting User Submissions, you are stating that any work submitted under your User Account is your own personal work and has not been in any part copied or plagiarized from any source. Furthermore, you understand that you are not to post anyone else's work without the express permission of the original copyright holder unless said work is part of Public Domain. You agree that when posting User Submissions that you will adhere to all content guidelines as outlined here:http://www.adult-fanfiction.org/guidelines.php and that any violation of these guidelines can result in submissions being hidden or deleted.
SirGeneralSir Posted June 28, 2016 Report Posted June 28, 2016 Im sure you would have to make an extensive overhaul of the story so that your not plagiarising the story, the plot might still be somewhat the same, but 99.9% of the rest would have to be different. just an example, lets say original story had a magic plant in it that's sap made an aphrodisiac, and put it in the drinks of X women. You would have to change that to ......... he bought a magic potion from a gypsy and put it in the drinks of X women. its the same idea, but still different at the same time, you might be able to do it that way, with a LOT of changes.

Actually, even that wouldn't be enough, if the plot was still somewhat the same. Unless the plot is a common trope, we do look at that as well. And frankly, if you need to change 99.9% of it, just write a new story and have done with it, right? The long and short is that unless the author returns and puts the story up for adoption, this is a dead issue.
WillowDarkling Posted June 29, 2016 Report Posted June 29, 2016 And with that, I am locking this thread.
