< Hopes ^ sent in a long form birth certificate (available only from Austin and the city/county where one was born) as there's a 75% chance that the passport office will reject a short form.

< Gets at least 15 angry customers a day over this.

< Not permitted to tell customers this before they buy.

V Thinks that the city is being money-grubbing for not telling everyone about this.

< Is wondering how they pushed back that law, as many people (American or otherwise) got stuck in our airport here in Calgary when they tried to go to the states without said passport.

< Is the owner of a horrid passport picture, but is sure after being on a plane/in airports for over twenty hours (on most of my trips that required a passport) the pic was fairly accurate.

V Is sure there are many times when horrid passport photos become accurate.

< Was told to take down hair so it fell behind <'s shoulders, put on glasses, and not smile when picture was taken.

< Was told that next time < shouldn't wear makeup as the picture would be more life like.

< Informed the postal worker that < tries not to scare little kids and old ladies by not going out of the house without makeup.

V Thinks passports are really a government conspiracy to get people to think twice about leaving home at all.

< Wasn't told not to wear make-up... but was told to put on glasses.

< Told photo guy that there was no way I was going to be wearing glasses in international customs situation, as those glasses are only for reading.
