How do I track a story so I know when there are new updates?

At this time there is no notification system in place, other than what the author provides.

One author had the idea of using our "Promote a Story" forum to notify readers of when updates occur - which will work if all parties are forum members and subscribed to the thread. The author only has to remember to make a forum post when they've updated the story.

Most authors use Twitter, or run an e-mail update list.

When I don't have those options (don't like using new fangled things like twitter and internet), I favorite(bookmark) the story and check it every few days. It's how I've stayed up on several of my favorites.

can a notification system please be created? i do not see the point in reading a story if there is no way to find out when it is continued, making the site somewhat frustrating to use.
