madlodger Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 What are "Lemmings" and why do we need them? Quote
Nanaea Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 It changes your member group association back to being a plain old vanilla "Member" in the event that you had purchased something, like the paint brush, that changed your member group to something else (e.g. "Artist") and decided that you wanted to switch back. madlodger Posted July 16, 2007 Author Report Posted July 16, 2007 Thanks, Nanaea! This brings me to another question: Does changing the member group association give any extra options or it's more like honorary title sort of thing? Quote
Nanaea Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 I believe that being a member of the Artist group gives you the ability to upload images instead having to hot link to them, but don't take that as gospel until 'Trae or DA chimes in. Quote
madlodger Posted July 16, 2007 Author Report Posted July 16, 2007 OK, won't take it as gospel, LOL Quote
Guest echtrae Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 There is no difference between the two groups, other than the nifty team icon. Quote
madlodger Posted July 17, 2007 Author Report Posted July 17, 2007 What, no free token for a pop machine? Damn! Quote
Guest Knorg Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 I think you used to need to be in the artists group the access the art room, which is now open to all. Quote
EveKnight75 Posted July 18, 2007 Report Posted July 18, 2007 ^Correct. On the older version of the forums, you needed to purchase a special pass in order to access the art forum. You no longer need to do that, but there were still people with the item who couldn't use it for anything. The solution: a new member title. The lemming was created in response to a member with the "artist" title who no longer wanted it. Quote
