Guest CrunchySalad Posted December 30, 2011 Report Posted December 30, 2011 Hello, I tried to update my homepage link in my profile and received the following message: There seems to be a problem with the homepage address: "https://sites.google.com/site/crunchysaladtogo/" Also, when I got this error message all the changes I had made also disappeared. I had changed everything in the "About" section but it just reverted to what it had been before, which was a bit irritating. Quote
RogueMudblood Posted December 30, 2011 Report Posted December 30, 2011 I tested changing my own to a regular http:// site and it worked fine. When I tried changing to a https:// page, it gave me the same error. Do you have that site address available without the secure server link? Quote
DemonGoddess Posted December 30, 2011 Report Posted December 30, 2011 I expect we'll be addressing that particular deficiency of the current script in the upcoming months. I'm hesitant to tinker with it to allow for the ssl link, as I'm unsure how the old protocols will deal with that and whether or not it'll parse correctly. I suspect that is very likely why it's not set to allow for ssl linking at the present time. Quote
Guest CrunchySalad Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 I see. Thank you for the quick reply and good luck on fixing the script in the future; I'll try to find a work-around for now. Quote
ApolloImperium Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 I tested your site and it does show up if you remove the s from the address, so perhaps try that. Is there any particular reason that you were using SSL or perhaps it was simply due to the fact you were logged in at the time you copied the link? Quote
Guest CrunchySalad Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 It must have been because I was logged in. I just copied and pasted it, I don't even really know what SSL is, so I have the homepage link set to the non-SSL version now. Thanks! Quote
DemonGoddess Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 ssl=secure server link. References any of the "https" addresses you may see Quote
