It's written by Alan Dean Foster and is the official prequel to the forthcoming movie. I haven't read the book for the movie (yet), but they clearly have completely re-imagined the appearance of the Transformers. Why am I bringing this up? It was an old fic that I hand wrote over 26 some years ago, sis, I'm just revamping it to suit this year and the movie that came out this year.
