Guest nice_kais Posted October 15, 2006 Report Posted October 15, 2006 I thought the same thing! But I noticed in her rambling bio that she said she couldn't read HP because of religious reasons. Uh-huh. Sure. I haven't had the chance to read the story mentioned here, but I can already make some just assumptions about the author. 1) If she says that reading Harry Potter is against her religion because it has Magic in it, then she sure as Hell shouldn't be WRITING about magic! 2) If she's never read the books or seen the movie, then how is it that her work is so similar to JKR's? 3) I remember a case of Plagiarism that involved Helen Keller--she'd apparently heard or read the story "The Snow Queen," then long afterward, wrote a story very similar to it, having forgotten that she was ever exposed to the original story. I read about this in grade school, (I've always been a book worm) so it might not be the whole story, or completely accurate in all ways, but my memory from back then is pretty good. (Unfortunately)
