Ok, question: What do you intend to do about the other publishers? You've got DC and Marvel split, but what about Image, Dark Horse...

Image has a big base - Spawn, WILDCats, anything TopCow

And I've been out of the comic scene for about a decade, so I don't know what other major titles any of the less-known publishers may have that have caught on really well.

Also, I don't know if there are any stories on the site, but Archie Comics has requested that there be no fan works of their material - I don't know the ramifications if any are found. (This may include some of the TMNT stories, as Archie ran a line of them that did not tell the same arc as the Mirage line.)

That's a good point - that's something I always found a little confusing as well! Myth Busters also has a section under TV where you presumably have a similar grey area, as the guys on the show aren't characters, but are presenters.

For me the celeb/character thing got particularly confusing with pro wrestling stories, because it seemed like those could either be celebrity performers or fictional characters. What I mean is a story based on the performer Kurt Angle's character on the show would still refer to Kurt Angle as an athelete with an olympic background, but would actually be about a heavily fictionalised version - yet the place for these stories is under celebrities. It could get even stranger with some of the more extreme characters like Kane, who was pretty different as a character to the performer who portrayed him, but a celebrity-section story would portray the performer as being Kane all the time! As I say, kinda confusing...

Myth Busters was added before I was doing it, and yes, as it's a form of reality show, it never should have been created in the tv subdomain. It was, so that means I have more stuff to move. oh joy <_<

*sighs*

In any case, anything with REAL PEOPLE goes in celebs. Period. Whether or not a category exists for them there yet or not.

As to the wrestlers thing, again, that was something done yonks ago. I can see the logic in it, in that those are these peoples' stage personas/names for that venue. So, it would still go in to celeb as they are still real people using stage names.

The story about the person from Deadliest Catch, as it's a reality show, with real people using their real names, would go in celebs.
