Oh, sheesh. And let me guess, they're of the opinion that you have nothing better to do than handle emergency calls.

I know how you feel witch, my Nana had to go into a home two years ago now because she'd forgotten how to feed herself, and was prone to wandering the streets. It's hard to let go, but once you find a good place and get the ball rolling everyone will be better off. Most care facilities specializing in alzheimers and dementia have special cottages onsite for spouses to live, while still remaining mostly autonomous. So that should be an option. And as for the kids? Screw em. Seriously,...

this is a bad situation but you know what's best here, not them, and unless they're willing to buck up and help, you do what you gotta do and hell to them. The only thing ignoring the problem will achieve is tears when the inevitable occurs.
