I recently got into this style as I got into the fandom of an on-going anime series. I like the fact that it exercises my quick-writing skills, but I find that it also makes stories quickly obsolete...

Hmm... I've never done rape or consensual BDSM in real life, yet I've received differing feedback on those kind of scenes. A reviewer once said that my rape scene is believable. Another said that my SM scene is unconvincing. Maybe some things are harder to imagine or portray. I'd suggest some research (read, watch videos, observe the local scene).

Hmm... what rewards me? First... perhaps the feeling of having 'filled' some aspect of the character/storyline not explored by canon. Another would be being able to write down some of my own fantasies. (I get this high too in discussing stories with other people). Just like Streti, I enjoy reading my own stories again in the future, although it can be frustrating to be reminded that I haven't finished this or that story >.< One thing I enjoy in developing stories is the research. I like my stories keeping with canon, so I enjoyed checking whether facts in my stories agree with what the fans know.

Hmm, you didn't stray off-target that far. In this anime, the ladies can be described as "Harem of the Psycho Killers"! (and hot). The guy, on the other hand, was your average boring salaryman which by accident got marooned in that lawless place. Would you be willing to explore this further? I don't think there will be 12 of them, so this would be too much...

It just hit. Sometimes after re-watching an old series, ideas arrive. I've been thinking of writing a harem-type story (M/F+) since this morning after an all-night marathon of re-watching an anime series. But I don't have a complete set of ideas, yet. All I have is that the main character (the guy) gets chased around town by the main girl (tsundere-type) and he ends up bumping into the other female characters, which then would lead into sex scenes, but so far I haven't fleshed out the details. So... anyone here watch Code Geass? The series had just aired its 2nd season and it has lots of delectable female and male characters, prime fanfic fodder... so why haven't more people write in this fandom? Let's start the discussion.

Interesting thought. I like stories with a historical/fantasy setting, and I've always wondered which sexual terms would be anachronistic if used in such stories. Say, mentioning 'anus' in a story taking place in ancient China or the stone age. Wouldn't a Latin word feel out of place?

In the story, the character is a normal female that discovers a device that can turn her into a sexier version of herself (makeover & clothes & mindset temporary change included). I'm leaning towards naked back-transformation with normal clothes discarded; that might also get rid of the problem of new clothes appearing out of nowhere; if they vanish with the back-transformation, it would make the story more interesting... she gets back to her old self, but naked and sore in the nether regions!

hi guys and girls, I'm currently writing a story in a fantasy setting, and soon I will hit a magical transformation scene (think Sailor Moon or Card Captor Sakura). Now, I've been advised to leave the magical stuff magical, but somehow I'm not yet satisfied with magical transformation mechanics. The following questions might be silly... If my character (a woman) was wearing her normal clothes when transforming into her alter-ego, with different clothes, then what should happen to her normal clothes? Should they vanish? Should they get taken off her but still existing nearby? (Something like throwing open a large robe to reveal clothes worn underneath) Should they be transformed into her new costume? How should I portray back-transformations (from alter-ego back to normal)? Would she return back in her normal clothes (which have vanished/dropped/transformed)? Or naked (with her normal clothes gone--"I lost my favourite skirt in the last transformation!")? (...do I seem incoherent?) Anyway. I hope you peeps can give me some suggestions. Thanks in advance.

I finally found something to write in this thread. It doesn't actually stop me from reading, but it does annoy me if I come across it. "OH MY GOD!" and its variations, said while fucking. Mentioning deity during intercourse, IMO, takes away the hotness. It gets worse if the deity got specified (I've seen the following in various fics: Jesus, Allah, Zeus, Kami-sama... but no one mentioned Cthulhu. Yet.) I know (from Western porn) that this might be a correct portrayal of how you westerners fuck, but I just find it not sexy. For comparison, local people here grunt and moan and say stuff about pleasure and/or pain while fucking, but they never get the need to shout out to the supposed creator while having sex.
