Depends on the storage that's in the iPod. It's your music that takes up most of the space. Figure the average file is 1mb per minute in a song.

So is this something available to all, or only members who pay for the additional services?

There are two ways to do this. First: 1. Make sure you're logged into the correct category where your story is; i.e. "Books", "Harry Potter", etc. 2. Mouseover "Member Tools" in the menu and select "Author Panel" from the dropdown menu. 3. Click "View Profile". 4. Find where it says "Reviews" for the story. If a review has been left then it will have a number after it; click that number to read your review/s. 5. Click the "Remove Review" button. 6. You are then returned to your user "Author Panel" Second: 1. Make sure you're logged into the correct category where your story is; i.e. "Books", "Harry Potter", etc. 2. In speaking to manta2g about it a couple weeks ago, I believe Tetris was mentioned as one of the possibilities in the future. That Grow Cube thing is definitely a grabber. I wonder what the tube looks like at max? I've gotten most of the rest of 'em to max out so far.

I actually appreciate it when something like that is brought up, believe it or not. It's a definite help.

My problem was always how they created pain when I'd do things like ride my horse, play baseball, stuff like that. For an ACTIVE woman, anything overly large is inconvenient and can be physically painful. I agree with that anything over a C is too large, simply because of the comfort factor. One thing I did/do though, is double bra (sport bra over the support bra) when running, riding, that sort of thing. It helps a quite a bit.

There're different games that'll be added. Dunno for sure if they'll be added or just changed tho. I can find out.

I've seen this before in MMORPG setups. You remember when EVE: Online was released? They did the same thing for that game. The problem is, when they have to make updates to the servers, they tend to do it all at once for all servers. There's something else at play there too, as well, I think. If all but one server is down, and that one server is frequented by one or two clans, it gives those clans advantage. Especially if there's any kind of tournaments or things of that nature that are ongoing. So it's a way of putting everyone on an even keel.

yah, fixed....sorry 'bout that. Was the end of a VERY long day......

Other than awaiting results on a poll that I asked to be done, this is pretty much done.

As we all know, there are people who go to discussion boards and groups and make posts designed to create problems with the members of that community. Frequently, you'll see that sort of behavior in political discussion, religious discussion, things of that nature. Where a poster (almost always someone new to the community) posts an opposing argumentative view to piss off the other posters in the topic. It's certainly obvious enough when it happens. Trolls tend to show a PATTERN in posting. There are a couple ways to handle them. First is to NOT feed the troll. Ignore him or her. Simple, and usually works. The second option is also simple. report the post and member. Forum admin (me) will handle it from there.

First of all, everyone has their own unique viewpoint as to what actually constitutes flaming. For the purposes of the forum, I'll keep it on a simple level. By flaming, I mean no PERSONAL attacks of other forum members in your posts. You know, no name calling, directly verbally attacking another member to incite a problem. If a member does flame another, there will be consequences if the behavior persists. Generally, I've found that a private request to take the argument private usually works, and there is not usually a NEED to place someone on moderated status. That's something that will only occur where absolutely necessary. In other words, we don't want to prevent healthy discussion, and/or heated discussion. But flaming someone directly is not acceptable as a method of posting and will be dealt with accordingly.

Duplicate accounts will be deleted. Generally, if a Member has two Forum accounts, the one with fewer posts will be deleted. If the reason for creating a duplicate account is because you no longer have access to the email you registered with, for example, rather than creating a duplicate account, simply email forums@adult-fanfiction.org SUBJECT: Forum account problem. Detail the nature of your problem, and it can be usually be corrected in short order. Do not create a duplicate account to relieve restrictions upon your main one; it is possible that this will earn you a stricter punishment than the one you were originally assigned. We are penalizing the Member, not an account. So you all know, if I FIND a duplicate member, duplicates are subject to IMMEDIATE deletion without notice, upon discovery.

Yes. It's certainly easy enough to move the topics. Although I should have it back up here very shortly. Found out what exactly happened too, but no fixing it dammit. Apparently, when the outside db util was run on the forum db, it must not have been done in quite awhile. What happens then, is that sometimes, a record is actually a bit garbled, and the utility will repair the field by deleting it. The only way to avoid that is to run the utility on a regularly scheduled basis, which has been set up. I'd run into this before years ago with this software, and had set up a cron to handle it then. In any case, that's been handled so it should not reoccur. I haven't quite gotten as far in the archive restructure as the comics subdomain yet. Have been kicking around a few thought as to how to start those categories for it, and of course, the forum itself will reflect that.

The user has a couple options for requesting a new FAQ file. 1. email forum admin at affforums@gmail.com, subject: New FAQ request 2. Finally, post your request in the forum, here. We do ask that if you have a new FAQ request, that you explain what you'd like to see in the FAQ requested, and why you see it as necessary.

I think she means sub sub cats or something. We very likely can add a better search engine to the thing later though.
-
I think that would be entirely up to you, quite honestly. To do that, though, I believe that you would have to delete/re-add the chapters in the order you want them to appear in once you determine that afterwards. I'm not entirely sure, as I'm not an author so I've never really DONE anything in the archive other than to select an avatar and edit my profile.
-
No, you're not seeing things. Only thing I can think of that happened is when I ran some maintenance to repair/optimize, something unexpected may have happened. I hope not. I don't actually DO anything to a pre-existing forum in that section until the revised structure is set up. Hadn't even gotten to Comics yet.
-
nah, keep talking where you're at, the posts'll still be there after the restructuring, just moved to their new homes, and still in the last order posted as always...

Request a new category by posting it here. As with anything, we do have requirements for a category to be created. You can also request a new category by emailing technicalsupport@adult-fanfiction.org, subject: New Subcategory.

Sorry for the inconvenience to you. It's an unfortunate side effect due to the age of the actual program. However, it is being updated and rewritten, and one of the enhancements will definitely be better spambot handling.

The guidelines/FAQ pages are actually being reworked at the moment. You should be seeing the ones pertinent to your questions posted here in the next day or two. Sorry they're not up as yet. Ratings are more or less as follows: Adult=PG13 type content Adult+=R to anything up to "hard R" type content Adult++=anything ABOVE a "hard R" type story for content, as in NC17 (if you go by movie ratings for comparison) Disclaimers: Fiction using other known characters/worlds (fanfiction) In the disclaimer, one needs to state that they do not own the characters, nor do they make any profit from their story. Original fiction Original fiction one would expect to have an author's OWN characters, plots and worlds. Our system requires the disclaimer block to be filled before the story is displayed. So, for this, one would EXPECT to see an author saying that he/she owned the characters and content of the story. Pretty much word your disclaimers however you want, following the above guidelines. Posting your one shots: Something I've observed over time is that you'll see authors who will post a series of one shots that are plot connected as one STORY. The author simply states in the description of the story that it's a series of one shots. So, depending on the plot of what you've developed, as far as how the one shots relate to each other, is how you'd pick the subcategory to upload to. Hope that all helps.

manta2g just finished running the maintenance, was able to access the data for your reviews. Unfortunately, that jump in reviews was an anonymous poster/reviewer (that's how it displayed, was actually a spam bot) who spammed your review board. She is making adjustments to that for you now. She just told me that you have 430 reviews, that are valid, not generated by the spambot.

I don't actually take care of this end, but...I can tell you it's being looked into. It would be helpful if you could describe exactly what you're doing, when you're unable to access this function for this story only (for the tech who is doing the work). There is a scheduled maintenance task that may very well correct your problem. So, if you experience this still after it runs (some time today, so check tomorrow if the problem still exists), let us know that as well.
