we're talkinga bout apples and oranges. The categories in discussion are in the FICTION PORTAL, not the forum. As to Anime and Cartoons, they are indeed separate categories. Anime is animated stuff based on Japanese manga and sometimes books, cartoons, are primarily American in origin and most of the time based off comic books. The forum itself is actually easy to administer, whereas the fiction portal is....problematic at best at the moment. No tools to speak of, because it wasn't written that way, so any tools to do any sort of common functions like moving stuff have to be written . Good thing is, all that is being done. Bad thing is, the tools take time to write so they don't thoroughly gum up the works and end up doing something unexpected, which could cause all kinds of problems. Further, (using the move tool as an example) since certain of the fields are unique within the subdomain and table they're currently in, they are NOT unique across the database. So, there is alot of work to be done to make it so they are before being able to say, move a story and all its data from one subdomain and its tables to another.

I'm going to add something to this as a reader who rarely reviews. There are many reasons for that, from me. The most important one, is that I'm NOT a writer, so therefore I don't feel it is my PLACE to offer stuff like concrit when it's asked for. As I loathe "update soons" and reviews of that nature, that means I won't leave even something like that. When I do review, a story REALLY has to get my attention. Otherwise, I don't as I won't have much to say.

It's no prob Deb . Thing is, we can only catalogue where they're actually supposed to be in a different subdomain/subarchive at this point. However, that IS being worked on so those can actually be moved as well. So, we do need to keep track of 'em

Well, let me try this strictly from a reader's point of view, as I don't write. I would much RATHER have a quality read, than have smut in it for the sake of having smut in a story. I would MUCH rather read a story with good plot development. Something like that will keep my attention, whereas a story written just to satisfy a need to write smut I don't generally stick with. They BORE me.

Well, I tell ya what. I've had 5 kids. So, while I understand the frustration, I also understand where it's actually a nice thing for places to do FOR pregnant women. Sure, when I wasn't humongous, I walked no problem. But in the last month or so, it wasn't so easy, nor comfortable. Maybe what these places should consider is instead of giving up the designated handicap spots to pregnant women (and thus reducing the handicapped parking), make additional ones that are NEXT to them for the pregnant women. So, they'd still be closer, but not like what is needed for someone in a wheel chair.

There is no function to favorite and link to your profile. You could just bookmark it in your browser, or add the link to your profile using the recommended reading function.

This is NOT an option at this point in time. I don't see it happening any time soon either. It's way too easy for trojans and other nasties to be hidden in word documents.

*sighs* You guys misunderstood something methinks. Yes, we are looking to do some integration between two very different versions of software, as to the member tables. However, that may not be something that is entirely doable. Don't know yet, we will have to see. IF it ends being something that can be done, one would be able to use the forum to message and mail while being logged in to the fiction portal, as one would then be logged into both applications. As to replying to reviews in the review board, we have so many OTHER things that just flat out need to be fixed and/or replaced as far as functions, that core usage takes a much higher priority than anything else.

it does not have enough stories to merit its own subdomain, nor does it consume enough enough disk space by itself to require such either. If you look at the menu, it directs the user to different subdomains, all which contain many more stories than 250ish. I don't foresee this category earning its own subdomain for a very long time.
