  1. The profile Not only was it not this person's to post, this one is INSISTING that she's going to be posting it elsewhere. Mind you, what she's posting is the fanfiction that spawned a published book, by using the author's fanfic handle, and just dropping a letter. She was upset that we hid it...poor thing! And yes, I was a bonehead (in the poster's words) because OMFG I did my job! Scary isn't it? ...That's okay, I'll stay a bonehead and do what my job... and more... Mind you, not a thing is changed, it's the other author's fanfiction, not this person's. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out, sweetheart!
  2. In order to access your account, you will need to reset your password
  3. Terms of Service Fanfiction is allowed to exist because of Fair Use. That does NOT make the fanfiction the authors post whether now, or in the past, public domain.
  4. Master of the Universe was published by EL James as a fanfiction. It's still HER original work. You cannot post that here. You cannot attempt to pose as another, as you're obviously doing. Because it started life as fanfiction does not make it automatically public domain.
  5. As this story is now published, by E.L. James, under the title 50 Shades of Grey; and this was/is her old fanfiction pen name, you'll need to prove that you are, in fact, her. We cannot allow a user to pose as another, whether or not the old pen name is being used by that author anymore.
  6. When logging in after you've registered or activated, please do NOT use the center login box. Only use that for activation and registration, as it's required for those two actions. If you login using the center login box afterwards, there are some issues. Review board login, using center login box - the user will not stay logged in. Story add/edit, using the center login box - the user will get a page with header and footer information ONLY. So, to avoid this is easy enough. You use the login boxes located at the upper right corner. The coder is looking in to this, to see why it's happening, so it can be fixed, and the center login works properly in the future.
  7. Prompt: Carnation Please remember to follow the rules as outlined here: Rules Happy Writing!
  8. email is changed, and activation mail is resent to the new email address. Be sure to check spam/junk folder for this mail. Click the link in the mail, and you'll be activated
  9. THIS is what you should be seeing when editing a chapter. When clearing cookies in IE, you MUST restart your machine. You can't just close the browser and reopen it. In fact, with IE, it can take a FEW times of clearing the cache and cookies and computer restart, before it actually works. For Firefox, you not only have to clear cache and cookies, but active logins as well. You don't do that, it won't work. Again, you MUST close the browser and then restart it once you do this. I have a tutorial up for several browsers on how to clear cookies and other steps you need to take. Finally, as you can see, this was moved to technical support. Technical support and FAQ requests are two very different things. By rights, I should've just deleted the topic, as I clearly STATE that anything other than a FAQ request will be deleted.
  10. Again, there is an intermittent cookie issue. When this happens, you need to clear your cookies, CLOSE the browser, reopen it, and then try again.
  11. My answer above was regarding the old age verification cookie setter. Yes, it's acceptable to input your pen name there. For the merge, as always, please allow up to 48 hours for me to get to it.
  12. yes, that's what it means.
  13. Author notes within a chapter are limited to 600 words. You can have an AN in each and every chapter, if you want, as long as it doesn't exceed 600 words per chapter. As far as I'm aware, there is no real limit on chapter size added. I set the chapter field properties to allow for very large chapters, but the setting doesn't actually say a character or word limit. At one point in the past, the chapter field had been changed to where it did have a bit of a limit, but the end result of that was truncation of chapter data on some stories. (You'll find those across the site in older sections, and yes, where I can, they will be fixed). As to other limitations, the disclaimer field is limited to 240 characters, and the summary field to 250. Character count does include spaces.
  14. That's where your current reading list comes in. You populate it, and check it periodically. All the WIP you're following are displayed on that page in your account.
  15. added
  16. set up for out of subdomain move
  17. moved to admin cat to be moved out of subdomain
  18. It disappeared because it was deleted, as was the account, for your having been underage at time of registration and posting.
  19. That will be enabled once the storyboarding part of the software is finished.
  20. Yes, but the error kicked tells me you didn't fill out that cookie setter. I just tried it, and was able to successfully access the story I picked for testing. Depending on your device, if you can't expand/enlarge the screen, that could very well be an issue.

As stated many, many times before JennMarie was deleted for being underage at time of sign up. Not once, but multiple times. She was well aware of the requirement for being 18 or older to join and use the archive. This is NOT a new policy, the age requirement. It's been in place since the site started in 2002. That she consistently flouted that rule is, quite frankly, her issue. That I deleted her content and profile is not an issue, but simply something that HAS to be done with underage users as they're found. Perhaps you've not read the prior posts, but you know, these children who do this don't give a rat's ass about the consequences that their presence can have on the real people behind the site. Which is EXACTLY why we're so aggressive about finding and deleting them and their content. To PROTECT the real people behind the site. As to dextrousleftie, read this topic. As Apollo pointed out in her answer, there was a valid reason behind the deletion. We don't play favorites, as I'm sure you can see. There is a Terms of Service in place for a reason. Users who sign up agree to ABIDE by the ToS and Content Guidelines. If someone has continuing difficulties with following that, then yes, eventually they can and will be removed. It is patently unfair to the bulk of the users who do their damnedest to follow and do what they agreed to at sign up, for us to not deal with those who choose not to, repeatedly.
