The modder scene grew hardcore.
What nature had produced. People became obsessed with tweaking and improving. At first, it started simply with exotic eye and hair colors. Gradually turned to skin colors and exotic limbs. And after a few generations, it wasn’t enough. Entire genomes had to be resequenced and scrambled. Not just in themselves but in their pets. Their plants. Everything.
Designer diseases, Outlandish symptoms and worse became fashionable.
Nature had become obsolete and uncool.

...suddenly, the idea of leaving it unfinished is so incredibly appalling. Not just because I’m a monster or anything, but entirely for the idea of it fitting the theme so well. That’s hilarious that is. I’m laughing to myself at the thought of it

My thoughts exactly. You put it beautifully, @swirlingdoubt. I expect an unstable environment to be a great place for all sorts of relationship conflicts and character-driven drama.

WAFF = warm and fuzzy feeling. It’s actually a legit romance style, you know, the feel good type of story. But when I was in the fandoms, we used it to refer to any romance fanfics that turned strong characters into mewling, needy, love-starved mary sues. 

Tentacles are often fun. I’ve not written them in awhile… at least nothing posted as of yet. Still, trying to straddle both might be interesting task.
I’m not entirely sure what WAFF is… so do that so I know?
