That is an idea I had not considered, I had planned for there to just be a village of beasts, perhaps in the Gévaudan region of France just for the heck of it, possibly the result of a curse several generations back, causing Hiccup to immediately suspect to himself either Maleficent or Mirage, but their hands are clean in this one

I like the ‘huh, not me’ angle.

belle could be an ameteur alchemist/inventor/mage trying to cure it

    or just the village bookworm

  2. i might know a few.

speaking of, two ideas of the bat. she could either be holed up in a mansion full or cursed were-people trying to find a cure…. or everyone could be turned into furniture, and she’s still trying to find a cure.

her BEING the beast (and i mean doing his character parts, not just being animalistic) would be a fun twist

  3. although, fun fact, one of the prototypes for superman was a parody of the idea of the ‘ubermench’ philosophy. a bald, amoral insane idiot gets godly powers and takes the world.

but that wasn’t enough, so later they decided to improve on the concept, making their own version with a bit more humanity.

and later, they made lex luthor, a self-stlyed ubermench. forever one step behind his foe, even when he obtains the powers of a god.

These things go in circles you know

While I do believe it has it’s weight, it can’t apply to people like superman who has absurd control over their powers.

Oh no doubt, but it gets played for cheap mellodrama to often and the recipients never seem to do try anything about it.

Or it’s used as a bizzare reason to give up everything

Actually, Mine was him being reborn into the world of MHA. I’ll tell you about it in a minute.

please do. though i refuse to accept his being the reason for clark. that was a misstep. I see it as other way around, even in-universe. clark’s rippled the multiverse enough.

  5. hmmm…… that could be interesting. Plutonian’s connection to quirks would be fascinating…. or his parent’s calmly sitting deku down and apologising for what’s happened and asking him to help.

His being purely psionic could interact REALLY interesting with certain quirks

have you read worm? because there’s some elements that could be considered similar.

  6. Okay, big hero six the series is now releasing (seriously that release date thing is annoying an inconsistant) and apparently honey lemon has some serious obliviously mad scientist tendencies.

And she lives with gogo as of episode 3 (4 counting the two-parter as separate episodes)

This is very useful for the story, as it makes her project more plausible and gives the girls a place to gather.

  7. A while back a friend asked this question, and my answer was ‘red sun room’. that’s probably not the only purpose, but just goes to show, even if he couldn’t hold back he could find a way. he loses his powers all the flipping time and just needs a trickle of direct sunlight to recharge, if he had to do you really think he wouldn’t give it all up for lois?

But yeah, perfect muscle control is a big part. I don’t think he could release, the film hancock had a good point there in that his sperm probably cannot be held back and is probably as tough as the rest of him, but he could at least please them.

Also, and this is less canon more observation, but Clark seems to have a very muted libido, almost asexual. Batman in one comic knows he’s married because he follows his gaze and supes, (with publicly known x-ray vision) doesn’t once sneak a peak at the crowd of reporters, many of which are female. He also is VERY resistant to seduction and focused on emotional support in relationships. at worst, fem fatales either fail to break his concentration or just make him uncomfortable. He’s not against it, he just can deal with having to be patient.

And really, the same goes for any couple. if there are obstacles you can find away around them and focus on what you have. Robin and oracle, for example, have a very healthy relationship despite her paralysis from the waist down.

This concept is okay to play with, but can be irritating when used on it’s surface level only. and I’m always annoyed when attached to superman, mr ‘world of carboard’ who might i add can pat an ordinary dog without cracking a continent

there’s a rather interesting parody of superman  called irredeemable, and i call it that because they explicitly acknowledge that its not what superman would be realistically, it’s what he would be if you took away his emotional maturity and stability. I like realism keeping cynicism in check.

anyway, some spoilers, but the plutonian (the superman figure) can’t without his body hairs, similarly invincible, ripping through human flesh like sandpaper. where it gets clever though, SPOILERS by the way, is that his powers are psionic reality warping, which means his powers work exactly as he wants and expects them too and brough that particular drawback on himself out of his matyr complex.

i really appreciate that they actually seem to hold supes idealism and basic humanity as something critical and his lack of that is the pluotnian’s flaw, but that’e going on a tangent.

Creature’s of the light and dark used this concept as the reason why the alien warrior girl was beating up her suitors, had to test their durability.

that they would try to deconstruct a character and turn him edgy based on his sex life is bizarre for me. anyone else think that? it was just stupid with spider-man.

  8. Yeah, disney used to act out film scenes. The crew swear that snow white m8ght have single-handedly set the bar too high for future expectations but it was NOTHING on walt's version

Hmmm. He could he the anti-black baron. What if black baron died tryibg to steal the crystal, causing the disaster, and a dying yen taught snow everything he could. Via a book he put a copy of himself in. It could be used as a magic tutor to the others and source of advice to snow, but needs her to vouch for them.

  9. And locked in an underground coffin.... oh, maybe she leared more craft (after raiding her mothers ilbrary) by living in the light tower ruins for a few years, and its part of what shaped her to be so non-conflict, recognising the extremes of her philsophies.

We could have some annonymous flashback paragraphs to the ruins of the tower that are revealed to be her, later

  10. nah, we need her sane enough to work on the spell.

maybe idunna, we had idunna studying magic.

alternatively, we have clarion or the collective fairies of pixie hollow. or clarion BACKED by the collective fairies of pixie hollow

Or Ariel with her dad’s trident and some ursula training.

we seem to have a redundancy.

you know i sort of assumed snow was an anti-overlord, but i can’t really see her building that weapon, unless it was a not-weapon that just went REALLY wrong. i dunno.

  11. like i said, not as familiar with disney fairies, so i can’t quite picture it.

and the idea of a character just vanishing bugs me. something happening in the meantime would be okay, though. If she’s still around, maybe she acts as a go-between for them. althought maybe she;s just a girlfriends, not another sister. her being there could be why maleficent thinks things will be balanced without her.

  12. wait. tying into the dark/light dichotomy, what if malificent and clarion had a positive/negative effect going on, and maleficent’s being happy meant ill fortune for her sister, who’d JUST met the man of her dreams, so she cut all ties to her and cast herself into exile to try and break the effect. except it kinda drove her crazy. both of them, but they can stabilise themselves with the right influences, like the fairies and aurora

however, maleficent avoids the place like the plauge and Clarion misses her sister dearly, but is still furious over breaking her heart for such a stupid plan

  13. that works very well, he could even invent some goal for hiccup to be after. the fairies and aurora would probably lend some credence, but snow’s corruption could make her think it’s a ruse. this could clue aurora in on what’s wrong with snow, and fay realises what must have happened when snow saves her life, so she follows snow to help save her and full-fill her quest since she’s got less of a reason to go with hiccup this time.

logically, hiccup is most likely just there to get to the rest of the empire…. OH! and florian sealed off all other routes, this is the only convenient way (on purpose) because lorian wants them to kill each other and he’ll reap the benefits. He merely tells Fay that they come for…. let’s say the light crystal

come to think of it, her knowledge of the crystal would make the spell more plausible
