Yep, it started early Monday.  They’ve taken advantage of some of cloudflare’s anti-DDOS stuff, so it’s mostly back as of a bit earlier today.  You can see the AO3 sub-reddit for some details.

I saw that in the news, but I actually just posted a chapter there about an hour ago. As far as I could tell, the site was functioning normally.

Those with Christmas birthdays—yeah, their birthday celebrations tend to get merged in.  (A trick I heard years ago is to celebrate the ½ birthdays instead, still give the kid a special distinct day.)

This is absolute crock… everyone knows that my baby sister’s birthday comes first (in a little less than six months) And THEN Christmas will arrive…

My personal opinion is that while the Spirit of Christmas should endure all year round, that the Season of Christmas shall not start prior to the First Sunday of Advent, nor shall it persist beyond the Baptism of the Lord.  Your mileage may vary.

Plot bunny got me the idea of potterverse Vs Skynet was too tempting.
The more you dig and research the more you realize. The wizarding world pretty much survives alot of scifi without much issue. Canonically, potterverse magic breaks tech and magical pests go after electrical devices even with their 1950’s tech equivalence.
Terminators have no chance of infiltration, between rapid transit, remote locations and the fact wands don’t run out of bullets and adult wizards can produce explosions pretty much at will and keep at distance, They can pretty much survive by staying hidden and steadily attack Skynet’s resources whenever they so choose.
