Skeleton crews are only appropriate on Halloween, otherwise, penny wise but pound foolish.

Boy do I get that. Of course, I have a micromanaging DM, which is driving me battier than I already am

That’s the thing I do like about my current gig… it’s paperwork and signoffs to do overtime, it’s illegal for me to work for free, therefore bureaucratic resistance against having to put in extra hours. Gotta love red tape!

I normally get every other weekend off, except for the holiday hectic, spring hectic, and fall hectic…..

Oh yeah. Got promoted to full time the first thing management did was try to make me work nine days in a row.

No, it most certainly is not. The Elon Musk School of Management needs to be burned to the ground, in my ever-so-humble opinion. Without customer service, you’ll have no customers, and no business.

Perfect. I concur with the above speaker

I say Disney Princesses are allowed to kick ass, whether it be tarantulas, lizards, or millipedes, so Melrick keeps his tiara.
-
Wilde_Guess reacted to Melrick in Sitting at my desk last night and some movement on the floor to my right caught my at
Both the lizard and millipede fought hard for their lives, but they didn’t reckon with someone as stubborn as me. And millipedes that large do not go down easy, let me tell you! If it could have given me the finger, it would have.

I’m beginning to wonder if that makes Melrick a Disney Villain then, or if the lizard and millipede are still enough to keep his Disney Princess status

Exactly. It didn’t stay outside before you flattened it. So, why would it stay outside without a little “help.”

Actually, if the shoe fits, you really need to shake it out before putting it on; in case either the lizard or worse yet the tarantula decided to find someplace quiet to take a nap.

Yep, the tarantula became friends with my shoe. Screw putting it outside.

Oh @Desiderius PriceI so adore you sometimes.
Yeah, I’m heavily skeptical but I also know people also didn’t think the internet wasn’t going to be a thing. Yet, here we are lol.
The first step of creation is by making the world accept the concept.

TBH, I’m a bit skeptical to the claims in the video – feels like something I’d see in a game/film trailer. However, assuming these claims are true, it would be revolutionary (undecided if it’s good or bad). It’d either fuel mad scientists dreams or relieve woman of the perils of pregnancy/childbirth. Imagine if it could handle later-stage embryos; transplantation in lieu of abortions. Or, if you raise ‘em brain dead, you could clone yourself; or cannibalize it for spare parts. Oh, the possibilities… both in real life and for stories

So, the question is, who’s the real monster here?
-
Wilde_Guess reacted to WillowDarkling in Sitting at my desk last night and some movement on the floor to my right caught my at
But Melrick obviously didn’t want to be friends since he implied that he stomped that tarantula to death
-
Wilde_Guess reacted to Desiderius Price in Sitting at my desk last night and some movement on the floor to my right caught my at
Don’t worry, that tarantula just wants to be friends!

Wilde_Guess reacted to Desiderius Price in so update, i finally got my hours changed. my boss even went and changed my availabil
Do what’s right for you, of course. Keep a plan B in place, and maybe this amazon warehouse is better?
-
Wilde_Guess reacted to BronxWench in so update, i finally got my hours changed. my boss even went and changed my availabil
When it comes down to it, only you know what’s the best decision for you. If your friend can guarantee you’ll be on third shift with him, so you can get a ride home, and if you think you can handle the pace of the work, then you might be happier at Amazon.
The thing is, employers tend to take a dim view of people quitting and then looking to return because they found out the grass over at Amazon really wasn’t any greener than the grass at Wallyworld. It never hurts to have a Plan B in case you decide to make the move to Amazon, and it doesn’t work out for you.

Wilde_Guess got a reaction from kagome26isawsome in I am seriously thinking quitting Walmart and going to amazon before Christmas hits! m
I haven’t worked for either employer. But I haven’t heard that much good of either one. You might want to look at transferring to a different location with Walmart, in case it’s supervisor stupidity you’re running into instead of corporate stupidity. But, like the modern saying goes, “you do you.” Good luck with whatever you do.

@Deadman Totally understand. She was debating replacing an existing walmart job with amazon (guessing warehouse/delivery).
