I tend to keep a copy on my hard drive, another copy on a flash drive, and a third copy on Google Docs.
Yes, I have lost an entire document. 

...and it’s not like you can actually write them on the site in real time.  I’m a very good typist, but I’m not that good.
Checking my working files, I’ve noticed a few chapters of a work or two slipping through the cracks migrating between several computers.  So, I’m now downloading them from here and putting them back into Word docs.  Since the reverse cut-and-paste runs all the paragraphs together, that will take just a little time...

Awesome. I always have back ups of everything. I don’t understand why people wouldn’t have back ups of their stories.

Update (edit) and add new chapter both work.  Add chapter has an “update” date and time “slightly” in the future, as in six hours ahead of CST and seven hours ahead of EST.

Nah, she’s fine, it’s in UTC time, which is how I like to set my clocks .

Wow… some wormhole to be 6 ahead of CST, 7 ahead of EST (shouldn’t that be reversed?)  Anyways, not fretting over a bit of time shenanigans, the story posting’s the important bit.

The avatar can be VERY picky on image urls.

@Wilde_Guess Humm bio worked when tested. Avatar should be working.  It can be picky on  image urls.

I’m guessing that editing one’s own biography and profile avatar on your own Archive Profile is still turned off?  I got “silent failure” for both of those.

Wooo! I knew it!

It’s also that we have approximately 150,000 members, and we just sent out a scripted email to all of them. ALL of them.   

We’re definitely a suspicious lot, trying to think for ourselves instead of bowing down to our corporate overlords.

It’s going to be a bit slow, and there is a lot more account security that has been implemented.
Keep an eye on your e-mail, everyone is going to have to re verify their account and change their archive password.

Ate garlic?  Sacrificed a virgin?  Sprinkled the holy water to keep our pesky hooligan away?  I’m hoping this time’s the charm to keep our website!

Seeing your post again had me pull up his Bio just now.  Until now, I never knew he was a founding member of The Byrds before CSNY.  He didn’t really waste that much time along the way.
