    She is the One

That's a thought. I don't know about the "third degree relatives" thing. We've only ever meet Hannah's sister. No other aunts or uncles or grandparents. So what people would be asking about it? It sure would be interesting if some showed up though... As for the twins, NO! No, no, no. I've said it many times before, and I'll say it again. I don't care what anyone else says. I hated their relationship. I hate it. I think it's a hot, steaming pile. It was dumb, and only negatively affected everyone involved. It'll go to shit, and they'll turn to Jack. Twins saga 2.0? Yeah, no thank you. Not a fan. (Or a heater) And if you're wondering what my problem with it is, let me get back to you if you want to know. It's not the incest, I'm fine with that. I'm still waiting for the Kayla-Becca showdown. (If anyone's wondering about that one, see my previous posts.) I'd love to see some justice, as reparations don't seem to be coming anytime in the foreseeable future. Jack is still assigning too much blame to himself, etc. etc. etc.

Don't you mean homecoming? I don't think prom has happened yet. (Unless we're in the future, then oh shit.)

Yeah, Jack's putting way to much pressure on himself. His end of the chapter piece is, while not annoying me, kind of a wallow in his own shame type of thing. His own expectations of himself are wayyy too inflated. Again, he's forgetting that people are emotional creatures, and that there is no separation of emotion and logic. Emotion drives logic and vice-versa. Which is understandable, because he's one person. And a teenager. He was a time bomb by the end anyway. Too much pent up emotion was stored for his own good. Craig just happened to be being a dick at the right time. You can't just "forget about it." He didn't do anything more than anyone else to tear the group up. It was Becca's own fault for being an abusive shit. It was Craig's fault he focuses to much on his campaign and for lacking an emotional compass or gauge. It was certainly Joe's fault that all these problems came to light. He was the instigator. It's not inherently Jack's fault he came across them kissing. It was he and Kayla who decided not to tell. The voyeur part, well Rhona just kind of laughs at him for that. And it's not necessarily on him for enjoying it. He found out, and reacted albeit, a little over the top, but not "incredibly perverted." That basically covers it all. Again, to much self-expectation, too high of standards, and his "fix everything" mindset. Because he failed at helping, at fixing, it must be his fault. But that's simply not true, and Jack will probably realize this in the end. I think that the others will need to learn to grow up a little as well. But isn't that what high school is for, growing up?

No, it's Becca's. Most definitely. I'm pretty pissed at her character in general right now. She assumes that no one else has emotinal problems and that the world revolves around her and Craig. What had Craig done to help Jack? Back him up when Belle told them about Jack's mistake. That was only in part. Jack was the one who gave Craig a chance in the first place. If he and Kayla hadn't interrupted Becca and Craig's original conversation, I don't think Craig would have turned out the same. I think he might have shafted Becca. Remebmer that conversation they had at the club? Yeah, Craig might have gone through with his plan. This is a link chain, so bare with me. If Jack and Craig hadn't reconciled then, they still might have been enemies by Christmas, therefore not hanging out, which means that Tara doesn't get rejected by Carson, meaning Jack never gropes Tara, never leading him on the run that Walburn killed himself on. Thus not hurting Craig in the first place! That was why Becca was upset. How was it Jack's fault? Craig was not gauging Jack's emotions at all. The conversation probably brought Craig down to Earth. Granted, maybe not in the best way, but honestly, what did you expect? Jack is not culpable. Sure, he said some shit. He should have probably apologized, but what, within a span of 6 hours? Most people don't cool down that fast. Becca's being a stupid shit who thinks she can get away with beating up Jack. There's no high ground to take. Physical assault is never ok in any relationship, friendship or whatever. Not only that, but premeditation. Jack could file assault and battery charges. I'm serious. Becca knows Jack won't fight back. That's shit. Don't put any blame on Jack for getting hit. That's legitimate abuse. I dare anyone to counter me on the fact that a punch was warranted. That's like saying "it was the way he was dressed." I really hope that Kayla does what's necessary.

Now there's something I haven't thought about. It's plausible, but I think more guilt would have moved to her. If she did call the cops on all of them, why was she with the group in the morning? Second, I'd think she'd be a lot less hostile towards them, or avoiding them completely. Maybe she did, and if that's the case, then yeah, it could surface and cause her problems. The party had a pretty good rep, and it would certainly allow the others to be angry at her.

    She is the One

To hell with what other people would think. I'd buy the shit out of it too. The point about Jessica calling the cops, yeah, that crossed my mind as well. It is pretty odd that Jack or anyone else didn't point a finger at her. The passage of time at the end of the chapter was a little unclear. It's interesting that we've gotten more insight to Rhona, as she called Jack her only friend. She has a somewhat motherly protection of Jack, at least it seems to me. She also seems to be crushing on Jack (obviously), but respectfully of Kayla. (Something tells me if Jack was, I don't know, staring at Rhona's boobs (probably something worse), she'd scold him and tell Kayla about it.) How does being out of college relate to a Junior in High School? So much to figure out! I want to see if another group forms, or some remnants of the old group comes back together. Belle's not likely to come around anytime soon without some sort of life changing moment. (Which I'm very sad about, I really liked her character.) Becca is directly gunning for Jack. (Will Kayla lay down the law?) Maybe there's a chance that Jack will attempt to repair relations with Craig. (I'm assuming Becca stands in the way of that.) So there's Joe. That one might take a while, but they might reconcile, at least partly. So then what, Bynum and Shannon? Plus who? Matt? (The blowjob might put Jack off a little. Or not.) Someone yet unseen? Maybe Kayla finds a new bestie. I mentioned this earlier, I'd love to see more of Kayla's backstory. More about her earlier life. Maybe a deep conversation that Jack and Kayla have. Since we only get a window into some of his life, Jack probably knows way more than we do. (Or not.) Favorite crazy theory of mine. The anti-hero Brad. Brad comes back a changed, or partially changed person, in the hight of a climax of conflict. Out of the ashes, Brad arises, doing something. (I'm not sure how It'd play out yet.) I've got quite a convoluted fan fic going on right now, partially written and partially in my mind. I might put up the opening to see how it goes.

    She is the One

This right here. I think sometimes, we (or at least I) take for granted Jashley's writing skills. When I think about people's ability to capture and portray emotions and life experiences, SITO rivals anything else I've read. We get frustrated as fuck when Jack makes a poor decision. We sit thinking, "why the hell did he do that?!" Because it's easy to take a logical approach, leaving emotions out, but then you fail to realize that there is no separation between emotions and logic. Sure, you get people who can create a great setting, but whose characters sometimes fall flat. The depth each person has, as well as the continuing discovery of each other, (Jack and Kayla may have another big revelation about each other. It's interesting, we don't know much about Kayla's life before she moved.) is, in my opinion, outstanding. I have no idea if it would ever be in the interests of Joe to publish this story in any other way aside from a site like this. I believe he's mentioned before that it's not. It's hard to see large scale reading, or publishing, with the 'graphic' details in the story. Not only that, but the other things that happen. Mainly the incest. Some would probably be "required" to be edited out, and that would definitely take away from the story.

*soilers* | | | | | Well. I, Hmm. Jack and Kayla vs the world huh? Looks like things have not only gone to shit, but beyond shit. Friend group gone, people very angry with him, man, the road ahead is not smooth. That really sucks. Belle was one of my favorite characters. I hope she doesn't do anything stupid. Maybe she joins LAJAK (The League Agaisnt Jack And Kayla, in case you were wondering.) As Jack makes friends, he seems to make the same amount of enemies. I have a monster headache right now, so that's all I have to offer. I'll sleep on it and see what I think. Does everyone have headaches? Maybe this is a trend. Oh, there were some parts I found quite funny.

I'd agree. Amanda turning to prostituiton doesn't seem plausible to me. She seems to have a decent support system, and with Alan becoming more and more into (shit, I forgot her name) his girlfriend, I think Amanda can safely turn to him. Who's Joe got? For a while, no one. Sure, Joe may get Jack back, but short term, I'm pointing to Joe as the biggest loser. I think he can be portrayed as the instigator. There's no reason for Sam to be forced off the team. He'll have support. Some people won't care. Sam's outside the main group, so he'll feel less impact, I think.

    She is the One

I've reconsidered the pregnancy theory. Morning sickness is most often characterized by nausea (according to the Internet at least, I have no actual experience with it. However, the name "morning sickness" is a misnomer, because it can occur at any time of day), and Amanda had flu like symptoms, no mention of nausea. My best guess is that is was an effective plot device to get Amanda and Sam away from each other. Adds more drama when sick Amanda shows up on a warpath after getting a text about it. I'll say this again. Sam and Joe are pretty fucking stupid. "Oh hey, let's get down and dirty at this super crowded party where all our friends are, one of them trying to build stock, and one of our girlfriends is here. Nothing could go wrong." Under the bleachers, now this. They get no slack. As for the person who said not to say "I saw this coming." Having predictability in a story isn't bad. I'm not trying to make it hard on Jashley. He foreshadowed what would happen, and I noted that I also didn't see it coming. Just because I maybe though it might happen didn't keep me from getting chills reading up to the end. Not noting it isn't giving effective feed back. It best to be honest, not protective. I want the story to pick up where it left off. Get to see Belle in full fury. See how the rest of the people react (regular party goers included.). Be interesting to see where Tara shows up, if anything. I've mulled over the Rohna thing too. I liked the theory a little that she had something to do with the ring, but I also think that she might just really like Jack. She and Kayla seem to be quite in toon, so I don't think she'll do too much to him without Kayla's permission.

    She is the One

I could say I saw it coming, and I did, but I also didn't. If that makes any sense. The prostituiton ring is just staring to crack open. I was really expecting the cops to show up. Time and again, we fing out how stupid Sam and Joe are. Those are my general reactions. The Amanda pregnancy thing would be interesting. Shit would hit the fan. If Joe Long's theory is right, we've got even more coming in the next chapter. Now it's to specualtion on how the group's gonna fracture.

I've looked a little myself, but unfortunately I have nothing to offer on that matter. This may not be exactly what you're looking for, but this website isn't bad for a time filler. It's a choose your own adventure type thing. I'd try The Afterparty maybe. I could always publish what I've been writing

    She is the One

I given some thought to this myself. Incest, at least for me, is a very ranged topic. Sometimes I like, sometimes I hate it. I don't mind it when I come across it, but I haven't put much forth towards writing it myself. I think that sometimes, you really want something to happen in a story, so you try your hardest to make it work, and then it doesn't. I'll offer a piece of advice I got from an old teacher. Effectively, he wrote a story where he had this pig which he wanted to keep alive. It didn't do any thing for the story, and his writing group said so. He had to kill the pig. Sometimes you just gotta scrap the idea. "Kill the pig" As to the emotional point, I'm not sure exactly how it's deadpan, but I'll say a few things. First off, write your emotions. Try to get something that makes you feel. You can write emotion, create details, but that doesn't mean I'll feel it. Just because I say someone is sad doesn't make someone else see their sadness. If you do something that makes you emotional, chances are, you're bound to get others emotional too. Try not to put too much into how you'll make the emotions happen. Just write. Come back afterwards.

Homecoming is before Halloween, isn't it? The big thing foreshadowed at Craig's party may be looming or exacerbated by events at homecoming. If you want a traditional interpretation, look to the party for maximum fracture.

We have no confirmation of any relationships having sex save when Alan and Amanda happened, then the other obvious one (Jack *cough* Kayla) . Sam and Amanda, Kelly and Alan, and all the others may have offered hints, but no one has said "we're fucking." However, I think some inferences can be made. Amanda seemed to get really defensive when asked about them having sex. Alan just shrugs off any question about Kelly, and the two others in the group haven't been upfront. Belle made a joke about Joe's dick, and Joe mentioning her tits, so you could probably infer that they've done it, considering that was months ago. (I realize this isn't the most sound logic.) Becca in the last chapter asked Craig if he'd pound her like cement, and I took that as they'd done it before, because I can't see how she'd be comfortable saying that otherwise. I don't think Kelly and Alan have fucked, just because they don't seem so serious(or at least Alan). If you want to get into analyzation of Alan, it could be seen that he may not want to commit sexually in fear of the same thing happening with Kelly as it did with Amanda. Maybe he still has left over feelings (i hope not though, as I've mentioned I never liked the twins relationship) for Amanda. Theres numerious reasons for them not fucking. Alternatively, Alan uses casual sex with Kelly to distance himself from the feelings for Amanda(but maybe deep in his mind, still thinking about Amanda whilst he pounds Kelly). I could go on. So really, Amanda and Sam is the only toss up for me. I could see it going either way. Amanda is aparently open to sexual exploration, but she might have been put off that, at least temporarily. Sam seems open as well, seeing as he and Joe had done down "exploring." With that in mind, Amanda and him could have easily gotten it on. In the same way, I get a vibe that they may not have fucked, but I'm not sure what tells me that.

He did call him a fag(or faggot)... Something like "real subtle, fag!" I guess people just forgot about it? I guess? I mean, I feel like Belle has to know, and Jack and Kayla do, but beyond that, I don't know. That's a good point.

    She is the One

Jessica's agression towards Jack and Kayla is only part of her master plan. Her temporary niceness is a front allowing her to gain ground. Behind the scenes, with the help of Ms. Locke, and a few other teachers that the prostitution ring has roped in (yes, she's running it), they're build the foundation for their revolution. Jessica has been planting seeds of deceit across the school, and her power, or the power of those under her, is growing. Soon, Jessica will be primed to take action. It's opening night of Alice in Wonderland. Jessica is ready to strike. During the first intermission, she steps onto the stage, nodding at the crowd. Since its such an important event, the high figures of the school are there. Jessica announces she will now be in charge of the school. They crowd thinks this is ridiculous, but her agents pull the principal onto the stage, kneeling him before Jessica. She strikes him down, and establishs marshal law. She is the leader now.

Get this: Jessica's parents are gone. Like not around at all. So the ploy about money is that they won't wire to her account. Ms. Locke is actuall her legal guardian, and that's how Jessica knows her so well/has control. Ms Locke doesn't care what Ted or Jessica do, so that's how the whole Brad thing was not a big deal. Effectively, Jessica is left to her own evil devices the entire time, and has free reign. That's also why she wants some caring in her life, like Jack, because she's not getting the affection from her parents. Maybe she has mommy and daddy issues?

    She is the One

I assume that Kayla will move past her kill everyone mindset. I feel like it's her teenage side coming out. Aggressive, IMO, isn't really bad as long as it's not over-the-top, and independence is great. People should be able to function separately, which is where I disagree. I don't think Kayla is super independent. I think, after the threesome, she's become more dependent on Jack. In part because their friend group is all they have. Really, who's her go to girl? Tara?- Jack's cousin. Rhona?- No. Belle?- Maybe? Becca?- Nope. She's an only child who has Jack's friends. On the topic of Rhona, I'm still not all that enthused by her. I mean, sure, she's a fun character, but she doesn't do much for me.

    She is the One

----Spoilers---- So... Intro to the prostitution ring... Jack likes voyeurism? I thought the part where he was super turned on by it was a little weird, but whatever. Should be fun to see how that goes. The people who keep meeting under bleachers are asking to be caught by Jack. Tad cliché, but if you read any of my stories, they're cliché out the wazoo, so I've got no ground there. My point is, don't fucking fuck around (heh heh) under the bleachers. I could talk for days about the ending. So many things could go wrong. I'm think Jessica is once again being conniving. Always love the foreshadowing. We all know that the secret about Sam and Joe will get out. Even Jack knows. The question is when will shit hit the fan. Very soon, I think. Pipe bomb, Chinese water torture anyone?

So very true. If every you're watching a tv show, reading a book, or so on, and a character is introduced, even if they seem trivial, they're bound to be important later. Sometimes you get people who play small side roles, but usually they come in later as big pieces.
