  1. I haven't started on your story yet, Joe, so I'll wait for the re-write since you feel it will be better.
  2. Thank you, sir! Still have a lot of exercises and walking therapy ahead of me but it feels good to get back into a routine once again. Also got a new Jeep Cherokee to drive so life is looking up..... and now I'm going to go read the new chapter. Cheers!
  3. Congratulations on the anniversary, Joe! I'll have to wait until Saturday evening to read the new chapter, though. Tomorrow is my first day back to work since my surgery 12 weeks ago. You and your wife have a great time!
  4. Thanks, Joe!
  5. I noticed that discrepancy also. I think the first time the cabin was mentioned was Chapter 8 (the Homecoming fight) when Jack's dad told him that Mrs. Hannigan had a "time-share" up in the mountains that they were going to visit for the weekend. I suppose that could mean that she has to share it with other members of her family.
  6. Delighted to hear that, Johnny!
  7. Freedom of speech and opinion are, by definition, uncomfortable. Weird? Yeah, probably true.
  8. If that seed should sprout into an orgy, be sure that your wife agrees and is there with you. Otherwise, messing around with your younger relatives can be very hazardous to your health. Some years ago a co-worker of mine found that out the hard way-- he did something he shouldn't have with his wifes' younger step-sister. No divorce, but I heard through a mutual friend that the missus made him pay dearly.
  9. Just take as long as you need, Joe. It's not like we're going anywhere!
  10. I'm sitting here with my laptop watching the playoffs and it just occurs to me that we have gone over 1,500 posts discussing this series. That is outstanding! Then I remember that Joe didn't come over to AFF until --what was it-- Chapter 20? That is absolutely incredible! (And I'm no longer a "Virgin," so kiss me!)
  11. Probably a good bet that she is. Tara's mom would have known about the kind of lousy guys she dated in the past and insisted on birth control.
  12. Ranch is king, but honey mustard is a very close second!
  13. Keep in mind that Jack and Kayla live a 30-minute drive away from Tara. With Jack working and Kayla hoping to get a job they probably won't have the opportunity to get together all that often-- especially after summer is over. Tara will make her own group of friends at her new school, so maybe the threesome will restore her confidence and self-image enough to go after a decent guy like Jack. The relationship may last because of the love between the three of them, but I think it will be few and far between.
  14. Joe, your dedication and loyalty to your readers is greatly appreciated-- but do us a favor and plan a vacation sometime soon. Hey, I don't suppose that YOU have a summer cabin up in the mountains?
  15. That's probably a good idea with summer almost here. Don't feel that you have to post a new chapter every two weeks. Use the time to get more sleep-- you'll feel better!
  16. Hey Joe, Before reading your story, I can't say that I had ever heard of Five Guys Burgers and Fries before. So after Alan, Craig, Jack and Joe went there for Dude's Day I google'd it and found out that there is one about 3 miles from me. Guess they don't believe in traditional advertising and rely on word-of-mouth. I should be able to start driving again this week or next and I'll stop in for a Bacon Cheeseburger. By the way, Joe is absolutely correct about Chipotle's always being packed solid. The one near me usually has a line outside waiting for them to open.
  17. I recall the pipe bomb being mentioned in the narrative a couple times, but not the other two. Possibly all three happen in the same saga. "Chinese water torture" sounds fascinating-- you figure somebody gets water-boarded?
  18. You've probably got a week to get caught up before the next chapter is posted.
  19. I can't wait for this one!
  20. Okay, that makes more sense than what I thought, Thank you.
  21. Sorry to read about your troubles. Believe me, I can sympathize-- I'm still not back to normal after surgery back in March. I know that Jashley was never very specific in explaining the triplet relationship of the Harrison siblings, but from a layman's point of view this is how I always figured it: When Mike Harrison impregnated Hannah, two eggs were fertilized. One became Jack and the second fertilized egg (or zygote?) split and developed into the twins Allan and Amanda. Since all three were born at the same time, Jack is a fraternal triplet while Allan and Amanda are Identical triplets. If anyone else has a better explanation then please share it.
  22. We won't know until Jack finds out her whole backstory. For all we know, her daddy is a major stockholder in GameStop.
  23. Jack mentioned that he hadn't seen Sam since school let out. We can probably assume that means he has not been over to visit Amanda for a good month or more. Looks to me like summer-league baseball is more important to Sam than having a girlfriend. As far as Sam's sister goes, it is a little strange that Helena is never around as she is Amanda's leader and role model. Don't know about their dad-- maybe he's just a divorced workaholic. Yeah, a lot we're not seeing.
  24. And you might not be. I always felt that Mike Harrison's reaction to the twins' incest was over the top-- especially after he said that he was okay with it and then reversed himself. His actions to keep them apart (cell phone check-in) bordered on the paranoid. Now long after the situation has stabilized, he is still trying to justify his actions to Jack and attempting to make him agree with his rationale. Also, recall that Jack has always considered Tara to be "his sister," so maybe his perception is dead on.
  25. I made the mistake of reading the chapter last night while watching the Chicago-Cleveland game (Cavs lost to the Bulls in the last second) and had to re-read most of it. Not bad at all-- considering how quickly Joe got it out. I liked how Alan is coming into his own as a member of the group and is not just "Jacks' brother" anymore. Arm-wrestling Joe to a stalemate got everyone's respect and I think will give Alan the confidence he needs to ask Kelly to be his girlfriend. The problem with the Hannigans is getting worse and I'm wondering if there's going to be an unpleasant surprise for Kayla when she gets home..
