Enjoyed the chapter in general but I was expecting more of a cliffhanger. I don't want to say too much for a while to give others the chance to read it

I'm from the UK, the coast guard over here is fairly voluntary so not great for a career, and about half of it is done by the Navy anyway.

So I'm weighing my options between army, navy and air force. If I go army, I want to go as a paratrooper or EOD. Navy and Air force would be as either weapons engineer or avionics engineer. Figured this was as good a place as any- given the number of vets- to ask for some opinions. Thanks

OK so here's what happened with the triplet thing. When jacks mum ovulated she released two eggs. Both of these eggs got fertilized by jacks dads sperm. One of these eggs underwent normal cell division and created jack. However, the other egg divided into two zygotes (balls of cells basically). Since the twins came from the same sperm and egg they share the same genetic makeup with the exception of the gender chromosome. But jack came from a different egg and sperm, so while he has his parents genes, he didn't necessarily inherit the same ones as the twins. And that is how Alan and Amanda are identical twins but jack is only a fraternal twin. And yes. I did get A*'s in biology.

Happy birthday Joe! Side note: originally I didn't sympathise with Amanda being alone, but after beig the third wheel for a week straight with someone I had feelings for I entirely understand.

So I don't update much. But I thought I'd pop in (for anyone who cares) to say this. I have an idea for a story, based on some recent events. The problem is that these events have destroyed any motivation I had, not just for writing but life in general. Hopefully I get my drive back soon and I can actually give you guys something to read. So yeah. Why are girls so fucking confusing???

Well the reason I want to join the army in a couple of years is that I want to get the best training that I can to be an engineer and the way I see it is this. I can either pay £9000 a year to go to university and learn, or I can get payed £20,000 a year to learn and use the skills. And yes, there are no major wars at the moment but the armed forces still help with humanitarian efforts in war ravaged countries

I've been considering doing that myself for a while jashley, I need to improve my fitness first, and I want to finish the engineering course I started. So hopefully in 2018 I'll be enlisting for the Royal Army Engineers. What branch of the armed forces are you joining?

It was a blocked number so it wouldn't have been shown at all, and the licence plate would have been on the hard drive, so depending on how bad the damage is it may be recoverable, if you wanted to put the effort in.
