I know it's a first world problem, but... I wanted to go to Ireland to see where my ancestors came from. I can get a train to Liverpool and back for £20, and the ferry leaves from there.. but wait! No foot passengers? Cars only!? Humans without machines have to depart from Holyhead in North Wales, which costs £60 each way to get to on the train. FFS, sod it. *sighs*

The continuing saga is that if I purchase a separate ticket to Manchester, then to Holyhead, I can get there for £35. They don't tell you that, and by that I mean they actively hide the information.

You really have to love BritRail. They are so unrepentant about their duplicity, and the dreadful sandwiches.

I think it became a second world problem when Liverpool became involved.
