  1. I also liked the Tommyknockers. It was a very interesting take on the alien invasion trope. Also I really enjoyed On Writing, it was a cool look at his writing process. On a technical note Stephen King is a very poor writer in that he doesn't stick to the ridged structue involved in writing liturature as he has a personal style that wouldn't work with any other writer.
  2. I have been having marathon sessions with 90's Grunge for the last week now.
  3. I hope we don't have to resort to the anti-copy/paste software. I have quiet the libary built up in my computer by coping and pasting onto a doc. but I always keep the authors names and where I got the stories so if I'm on another forum I can share the author and site with others. There are some sites where you can post the whole story but I never felt comfortable sharing someone elses story without their permission.
  4. I've read most of Stephen King's novels starting from when I was a kid. I love the Dark Tower books and have reread them more times than any of his other books.
  5. I'm looking for a Buffy The Vampire Slayer story where Buffy, Xander, Dawn and Willow all return to Buffy's house covered in muck after killing a demon. Buffy is stuck to Xander and Willow is stuck to Dawn so each couple has to shower with each other. Buffy and Xander have sex and Dawn pretty much seduces Willow into sex while their all in 2 diffrent showers. Any help you could give would be appriciated.
  6. I took the little test and can type 48 words per minute. Guess I need to practice some.
  7. For me I've got to have a gimmick to hang the story on, such as my ...Meets the Fanboys or my Buffy vs. La Blue Girl. For my shorter stories I ususally just free write and then go back to edit them but for my longer ones I use the 5 part story arc, free write what I want to happen then edit it into a outline that I use to write the whole story. I post per chapter after I edit them (a trait I'm learning) and re-edit after getting some feedback. Also, I write long hand and then type before I edit so it takes me even longer that way cuz I write way faster than I type.
  8. I see the same thing is Spider-Man stories. Peter Parker has a small winky in a lot of peoples' imaginations.
  9. If you look at the trends, rape fic, bdsm, and incest are pretty big right now. For examples I'll use 50 Shades of Grey, which is terriablly written but a best seller, Monster/Dinosaur erotica is pretty big for Amazon downloads, and the Mortal Instruments series of books which has the main love intrests as brother and sister through most of the first 3 books. Make of it what you will but those are the trends I've noticed lately in female fiction.
  10. Howdy! I'm not sure if I have introduced myself yet so Ima doing it now. I'm Muhabba, I like to write stories, mostly celeb and have been reading stuff in the archive for a few years now I guess. I am currently writing 2 reeeeaaallllyyyyyyy long stories; Buffy the Vampire Slayer vs. La Blue Girl (cuz one day I was looking for a story like that and couldn't find one and it seemed that it was such a logical team up that I was amazed that nobody had written one yet) and Not The Whedonverse XXX (cuz I love all of Whedon's stuff and I like those "Not The ... XXX" parody movies and then I plotted a story out and I will probably die of old age before it's finished)

  12. I'm not sure if there is where to ask so if it isn't can someone tell me where to ask about where a certain story goes. And if there is where you ask, here's my question. I am currently writing a multi-chap story that take place across many genres including comics, movies and television. I'm doing the story on all of Joss Whedon's works starting in comics with Astonishing X-Men, then moving to movies with Marvel's The Avengers, then going to his TV shows and sing-a-long blog, jumping to another movie and then finishing with a TV show again. So... where you should I put this movie, please?
  13. After tripping over a content rule you can call me a noob but I cannot find the rules for story content, what is and isn't allowed in the stories.. If someone could shoot me a link I'd be grateful. Also, in the "Shoutbox" tab there's a little red number, what's that mean?
