  1. I post on Media Miner and various Live Journal communities (and a lot of drabbles end up on my journal and nowhere else because they're pointless little 500-1500 word one offs that I needed to get outta my head). On the very, very rare occassion I'll post on fanfiction.net if I can't find a reader following anywhere else. I'm such a feedback junkie and hate when I'm posting somewhere and getting next to no reviews.

  2. First off, I must get this off my chest before I try to throw in my two cents. I fucking hate writing (though reading them is sometimes not so bad) virgin scenes.

Imho, it all comes down to the partner. If character's love is also virgin colour me clueless to help but if not...

Listen, it might help to have a gentle guide in the case of this girl, someone's who's going to be open and generous enough to let her explore and take it slow if need be. Also realize vigin sex is a balance of innocence and instinct. Folks may not be able to fuck like a porn star by instinct but it isn't out of the question that they might be able to keep a nice rythem going, if ya catch my drift.

  3. Sometimes it is...for me at least. But really it just depends on the quality. If your telling about the surroundings, (ie: The light in the room, the clothes they're wearing, what time of day it is, the exact area they are in the room) then yeah. But if most of it is about what they're doing, then no.

Oh yeah, that's true enough. If there's two or three paragraphs forcusing on every scrap of clothing being taken off then that can get a bit tedious.

Although it should also be noted that if there's too much of what's being done to who, that can be a bit annoying as well. I mean...I guess it all depends on the writing style really, but I still wonder if describing every little swipe of a tongue along the head of a dick might not be just a little excessive.

  4. I ended up with "tantric master" as well....which is kind of neat. I mean, the way it was described was very fitting. Perverse and depraved yet still a romantic.

Though I'm really worried...at times my muses answered the question if I thought too hard and too long. unsure.gif That totally can't be normal.

  5. *sighs* My friend had this song that he wrote back when he had a band...Hilarious song called "Jesus Christ is Not Gay".

I have it stuck in my head now.

    Ah well.

"Baptized by Christ...?" Ew...talk about one hell of a facial.

  6. Nope, you're not alone. I read the novel in high school and was a big fan of Coppolla's film and it had irked me to find out that all the Dracula and Mina love story crap was essentially made up.

I think the reason it's protrayed as something sexy is because of the way people view the whole Dracula image these days and possibly when you think about the difference in culture...That scene was kinda like the bodice ripper scene of most modern roamnces.

    Just some idle disjointed thoughts.

  7. I dunno man...58 seconds must last longer than i realized.

    tongue.gif

Peh. 35 minutes? Dude, I must be a freak. It only takes me that long if someone's being a fucking tease. Usually a peak in about 15 or twenty minutes give or take depending on how hot I am.

... unsure.gif We are talking about only one orgasm, too right?

  8. But...but...it still makes no sense right?

I mean, they know it's not their work. So how can they justify anything?

...Of course there are those really obnoxious assholes who think it's okay to plagerise fanfic authors because it's not like we're real writers. dry.gif

  9. think.gif Huh...thought I'd replied this thread.

I too have used a second penname, when I was experimenting with the SesshoumaruxKagome pairing in the "InuYasha" fandom. Up until that time, I had pretty much only written canon for the fandom and was a little nervous when I signed up as an author on A Single Spark. Really, I'm not entirely a fan of the couple, I just happened to like the challenge of making it work (and of Resmiranda's writing).

Anyway, I was using the name Demona Leigh.

  10. Ya know...that first pic sooo confused me for a moment. I mean...what the fuck is wrong with that guy's balls?! I don't understand. It made me die a little inside.

I didn't bother with the second pic. I think I could handle i but seriously, I've got smut nipping at my heels and I would like to be able to think about sex in the near future.

  11. I'd like to say that I'm objective but sometimes...it's hard.

Best example I can think of is when I was writing for "Hellsing". As the manga progressed and things started to look very dismal indeed (and Hirano started handing out character death sentences left and right), I found it hard to keep my focus. I didn't want any of the main characters to die, especially Alucard. It didn't sit right with me and my demented concepts of a happy ending. So continuation fics became increasingly difficult for me to write due to my inability to completely disengage my personal feelings from the fandom's natural progression.

Another example is rather minor. With all of my yaoi stories, I try to make a point of not limiting any given character to the strictly "top" or "bottom" role when it comes to sex scenes. The only one who has managed to escape this treatment is Rufus Shinra, who is a perpetual top in all lemons. I've tried to work it otherwise, but even though I can picture the situation or scene in small degress, the muse rebels, and I just end up scrapping it in the end.
