so update, i finally got my hours changed. my boss even went and changed my availability when i was asking a dumb question about some mark downs i had to do. so i am now 12-9 which helps but not alot cuz i stills gotta do lyft/uber. i see your guys points for amazon. my best friend works for them and he really likes it there. he wanted me to do 3rd with him cuz its more pay ($2 more) and i would have rides home every night.

When it comes down to it, only you know what’s the best decision for you. If your friend can guarantee you’ll be on third shift with him, so you can get a ride home, and if you think you can handle the pace of the work, then you might be happier at Amazon.
The thing is, employers tend to take a dim view of people quitting and then looking to return because they found out the grass over at Amazon really wasn’t any greener than the grass at Wallyworld. It never hurts to have a Plan B in case you decide to make the move to Amazon, and it doesn’t work out for you.

Do what’s right for you, of course. Keep a plan B in place, and maybe this amazon warehouse is better?

I am seriously thinking quitting Walmart and going to amazon before Christmas hits! my team leads and coaches keep pulling BS on me. ugh! i was promised different hours and now the bs is that oh we have to go change the hours by hand because you are still under core scheduling (1-10). My Team lead hasn’t done it yet and i was supposed to start my new hours (12-9) December 1st! ugh!

@Deadman I’m getting the feeling that my attempt at sarcasm (ie, the water bottles) is getting misinterpreted as an endorsement of amazon workplaces… it’s not, it’s the opposite. Obviously, if the other choice is starving I wouldn’t fault a person for choosing amazon.

@Desiderius Price Oh I didn’t think it was an endorsement and figured it was sarcasm. I was just saying that some people (namely me) don’t have a job at all. I can appreciate that Walmart probably sucks as a work place, and that Amazon is also a terrible place to work. But for someone without a job, working at a terrible work place is a better option. Walmart might suck but it’s better than having no job.
