I am seriously thinking quitting Walmart and going to amazon before Christmas hits! my team leads and coaches keep pulling BS on me. ugh! i was promised different hours and now the bs is that oh we have to go change the hours by hand because you are still under core scheduling (1-10). My Team lead hasn’t done it yet and i was supposed to start my new hours (12-9) December 1st! ugh!

I haven’t worked for either employer. But I haven’t heard that much good of either one. You might want to look at transferring to a different location with Walmart, in case it’s supervisor stupidity you’re running into instead of corporate stupidity. But, like the modern saying goes, “you do you.” Good luck with whatever you do.

From what I’ve heard about Amazon, Walmart’s a paradise by comparison. It’s in Amazon’s risk analysis (SEC Filings) that they’ve been burning through so many people that there’s a strong risk of not being able to staff their warehouses. Amazon’s a firm that will threaten firing people trying to take shelter during a tornado, people get injured or worse and the firm doesn’t care, at all. They’ll tell drivers to obey all traffic laws, but dock you for “slowness” that you’re forced to run every stop sign & red light (even that’s not 100% sure). A prison convict would have more rights than as an amazon employee/subcontractor (which is how amazon shields itself from liability). But hey, you do you, good luck.

I totally get this desire.
However, just for context, some of us don’t have jobs at all. You could find yourself in such a situation if you try to go that route. - Show next comments 6 more
