Damn… that would kill me. Isn’t it Summer there? Hey, when you have Christmas, in summer, do you still decorate things with snow? Like windows and snowy trees and such? Does it ever snow where you are, or is it still warm in winter?
If it was that hot, I’d have to spend every minute of every day and night in a bath of cold water. Someone needs to invent some kind of sealed wetsuit that circulates cool water around the skin. Like personal air conditioning.

you can have the winter over here, too much snow in a short time and will gladly give you the -40F wind chill.

    You are quite awesome!
Digital implants? Now I am imagining bionic eyes… perhaps they could add some additional useful functions, like a zoom or a record capability. That would be amazing. Then all the selfie people really would be like Narcissus, forever staring into their mirrors.
Anyhow, I am glad you are here again.

Heh, when it gets to that point the digital implants that are currently experimental may do the job.  don’t worry too much about it, i do my best not to.

I am so sorry, Manta… I hope it never gets to that point Isn’t there anything they can do about it? Perhaps, if not now, at some point in the future they will have figured out how to correct it so that you can see perfectly with glasses or lenses.

Whoa… well, I am glad you can see again!
I’ve always wondered why people have their eyes lasered. I am only -2 in both, but it really makes you remember to appreciate your sight when you put your glasses on and things jump into focus. Do your glasses correct for everything? I hope they do. I am not sure what the cylinder and prism parts of the prescription mean for you.

Completely agree. My current prescription on both eyes is just short of -7 on both eyes, with a 5 cylinder and bidirectional prism’s on one eye. it’s a pretty scary proscription, without any glasses my range of visibility is at most an inch away from my eyes.

Welcome back! Wow – what is your prescription?
Though I have to agree, glasses are so much cheaper online. My current pair were made hundreds of miles away from the UK in California somewhere. Opticians really know how to charge, don’t they? I’ll never go back to them now I know my pupiliary distance.

But you have new hires, and hopefully it means an end in sight. And in the meantime, let us know how we can help.

Actually, there’s more than a few celebrities I’d enjoy watching do that, now that you mention it.

The way things are going, I am surprised we haven’t seen it featured in “I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!” where the celebrity has to navigate a grove full of these trees to get a plastic yellow star at the other end which will buy them a pound of brown rice for camp. Our television is like Rome and the collusseum all over again.

I’ve never had an urge to explore rain forests anywhere on the planet, and it’s things like this plant which reaffirm my decision.

This is why I will never emigrate to Australia… it’s like that place you get trapped in if you play Jumanji.

I’m just waiting for that countersignature on the Reversion of Rights letter, and then I’m off and running. We’ll see what else shakes out. I’m not owed enough to pull my hair out over that, but I want my hard work back.
