Good news!
And, hey, we all like Ostriches!

It’s one of those awful stories you hear, and hope never happens to you. My original publishers were awesome, but they were also writers and wanted to focus on that rather than on publishing. They sold the press to their general manager, who proceeded, along with her new wife, to steal royalties which should have been in escrow for the authors who earned them. The shell game finally fell apart when they couldn’t pay their biggest names, including the original owners, who were owed thousands of dollars. There was felony check fraud, lies galore, and in the end, we all had to fight to get our rights reverted.
In the end, I don’t think I lost a lot of money. What I did lose was my confidence, and it took a lot for me to send out my book again. I’m thrilled that I did, though, since NSP offered me a seriously professional contract, and I really like their style. So, stay tuned for the expanded and even better version of Ghost’s Sight.

Thank you, everyone! I’m sure I’ll be whining when we start edits, but it’s exciting to get back on the horse, so to speak.
Of course, because this is a far more professional group, they want the second book to review, and are asking about the third book already. I’m flashing on the Oglaf comic about the muse...

Wow, that’s horrible! It breaks my heart that someone could do that to writers, who often don’t make enough as it is. Fuck them. I hope they have to eat nutriloaf. I love that you’re picking yourself up despite them and putting yourself back out there. Rock on 

Maybe people who use dating websites usually sign up for more than one, so any business a site loses to the competition is made up for by ad revenue.
Or maybe nobody's paying attention at corporate HQ.

A dating site leads to a dating site to a dating site. Some char goes so far down the rabbit hole that they end up in an alternate reality that’s just one big dating site. Like those 90s movies about video games… Brainscan? Pretty sure there was an ‘Are You Afraid of the Dark’ episode like that. Maybe even Goosebumps. 
BW said plotbunny – of course, I immediately went to horror references. What, there are other kinds of stories? Psssh.
