I wish this web site was the closest I was to having a Twitter account.
Actually, that’s not really fair. Twitter works out quite well for me most of the time. I can’t commit to anything. If I try, I lose my grip on the whole lot. I can commit to getting up in the morning, most of the time. That’s about it. And going to work, usually. I can commit to doing my archive work here. Anything else is a bonus. Twitter doesn’t guilt trip you. There is that. And updates don’t need to be big rambling things. And no one says: hey where the hell is so-and-so when you go missing for three months. They just forget that you ever existed. I find that quite relaxing.
But I’m kind of weird. Don’t tell me I am, I know it. *nods*
So, in conclusion, Twitter is full of weird people who can’t commit to anything. Yep. *nods again*

I’m working on a more fluffy story right now… so don’t stress out.  My halloween fic is done, though.  (I’ve already had two others look it over because I wasn’t certain your inclinations.)

Well, you know me… as long as it’s not Minor1, I’ll look forward to reading it just for the sheer enjoyment!
I’m afraid I’m not going to make halloween. Not unless I dig a “here’s one I made earlier” fic out of my hard drive and polish it up. But I kind of think that’s cheating.

DP, I am so sorry that I am dragging my feet on the beta reading. I’ve just woken up from a massively long afternoon sleep after working this morning. Because I stayed up (again) late last night trying to get the words down. It’s like I am possessed, I swear. I will get around to doing a little more before I go on holiday at the end of the week, I promise.
Silver lining, this is so not going to leave me time to worry about packing.

Bronx, I know if I had done anything massively wrong, you would say so. I am concerned about what seems to be a general drop off in audience though. So concerned I’ve broken a personal rule and posted (not as pippychick) on AO3 to test the water.
It’s helped, to be fair, but then earlier I listed the events I still need to have happen in this “little bit of fun fanfic” that I started and realised what a monster it’s become. It’s not The Teacher level of monstrosity yet, but damn… and the truth is I’m not all that well, and I wish I could stop, but the muse is alive and bloody well and almost shouting at me about it at all hours of the day.
Wow. What have I done? I blame Martin for leaving so many loose ends to tie in.
On the plus side, My mother, who usually doesn’t take much of an interest in what I’m doing, has listened to the plot and thinks it’s “clever” “fitting” and “evil” and “you’ve got to do it” *nods*
I’ve got to do it, and I’ve got to do it properly. No short cuts. At least I am managing to get in the foreshadowing I wanted to, and not skimping on that, which is a relief.

I think being “strange” was one of the AFF signup requirements. 

... I must be the only one lost with that...  But...  Lol.  Well, I have six waiting for prepping...   So...  Do I win a prize?   Yeah, little strange here...

I have two novels out with a publisher, I’m prepping a short for submission for an anthology, I have three WIPs to be finished and sent out the door, one Halloween story in the works, five unfinished projects here, and nowhere near enough coffee for this all.

Mmm...  Cocoa and cookies, delicious!   I'm there
