February will do that to you in the Northern Hemisphere, especially if you live somewhere where it gets cold in the winter.
I didn’t pay attention to “Groundhog Day” this year.  If the out-sized rodent wakes up and sees his shadow, we have six more weeks of winter.  If he doesn’t see his shadow, we only have winter for another month and a half.  If he sees Bill Murray, it’s going to be a long day.

Hi, this is probably not the best way to find a collaborator. I don’t write for Harry Potter, don’t write much het at all, and when I do write D/s, I do so with someone I know understands the lifestyle thoroughly, because nothing is worse than bad D/s in my opinion. This is my take as a writer.
As the lead archive moderator, I’d just like to mention that spamming the status update wall is probably not the best way to find a collaborator. We have a subforum for that, which is where this belongs. I’m sure the forum staff will agree.

Making a new account won’t help, actually, because we’d have to go back and merge the accounts, if you were even able to create the second account.

Odds are the Firefox updates did something to corrupt the cookies AFF sets. Over time, they become corrupt anyway, but browser updates can affect them as well. Usually a good clean-out of the AFF cookies helps, and they’ll be reset on your next visit.

You might want to clear all your AFF cookies, and empty your cache and history on Firefox. Close it down altogether, and then restart it. You use your email address associated with your AFF account to log in to AFF, and your password is case-sensitive. If you reset your password, you need to use a new password, because re-using the old password will cause a fault and force you to reset it again. I’m seeing a gmail address associated with your archive profile, although I can’t see passwords.

BronxWench got a reaction from Melrick in I know nothing about Gridiron, as we call it down here, but this little fact I learnt
I think I’m smitten! I’m going to have to read up on rules, and then watch more, but this looks far more interesting than I’d imagined. Thank you!

I never thought about it being available to see in Youtube, but I would imagine there would be some rugby league available on there, at least to give an idea of what it’s like.

Well rugby league is at least as rough and violent as gridiron, except they don’t wear any protection.

I haven’t seen rugby league on tv here, but then again, I almost never turn on my tv. I used to watch footy, though.  I’m also a fan of ice hockey, which might explain a great deal.

Have either of you seen a game of rugby league?  I’m guessing it’s not exactly common on TV there.

That’s actually quite accurate. A great deal of time is spent lining up, changing players, and so on. There are four periods of 15 minutes each, and yet the game can run forever…

Some games are like that, Melrick.  Like any sport or sports, it suits the players and spectators.  Gridiron hasn’t been played at the Summer Olympics for medals, and was last demonstrated in 1932.  Amazingly enough, unlike in Rugby and “Soccer” Football, the IFAF World Championship is almost unknown in the United States, even as “gridiron-crazy’ as we Americans are, and in spite of the fact that we’ve won the World Championship in every series we’ve played.  IFAF Championship play started in 1999; with Japan winning the first two championships to date, and the U.S. the other three.  Australia’s ranking in the last series was a respectable 5th place out of thirteen participating nations.  IFAF Gridiron may actually be “safer” for the players and relies more on skill than brute power.  IFAF player eligibility requirements actually block the “over-conditioned” athletes that participate in NCAA and NFL gridiron, making the game far more dependent on skill, and seeing the players slightly less hazarded to crippling injuries.

It’s not that they’re difficult, just time consuming.  And when you’re sitting here sweating to death, it makes the time pass even more slowly.  But yeah, they’re fine for now, until the next change!
