They turned Hannibal Lecter into a furry! Another one turned him into a highschool heart throb! And a vampire! What is happening, DP?! My yearning for atmosphere and a dark romance is shot to hell but as frustrating as it is, I fking love the madness. 

I’ll do a final pass tomorrow, you know, grammar, spelling, add some more creepiness.  After all, Christmas is quite creepy with a fat man who watches all the kids all year long, when they’re both naughty and nice, and even bribes them with gifts.

Well that complicates my plan of starting it on the evening of the 19th!

I really don't think you have to worry about writing a Mary sue. If it feels right going in that direction, go with it. Trust your instincts. Some of my favorite characters in best sellers would technically be Mary sues according to the typical criteria, but were so interesting and believable that they don't feel like Mary sues. 
Don't fret. Listen to your muse. You can worry about any mary sueness once it's done and the editing begins. 

I wouldn’t say perfectionist… but I do like to put out something good and entertaining at least.

I still can’t focus on the one story, but since I’ve got the other one, it’ll definitely go up and  give that nice creepy Christmas feel….
