My smutting has ceased to be. It is dead smut. I could no more write an even slightly sexualised line than I could enforce the pax romana. I’ve said this several times before but it really feels like it this time.

Well, suppose you could torture them with a brick by brick description, along with blueprints, see how long it lasts until they’re throwing stones…
I’ll second @BronxWench with her method, similar to how I do it.  Describe the basics, leave the rest to their imagination, unless there’s something important, like a loose brick.

I prefer, as a reader, to be able to use my imagination. So, give me a few key details about the wall, like composition (brick, concrete, steel) height (scalable, high, towering, topped with spikes), and anything relevant to understanding the purpose of the wall. My imagination can take it from there.
As a writer, I see in my head what I’m writing about, but I remind myself frequently that I’m not directing a film. I don’t want to lose readers because my idea of an attractive character doesn’t mesh with their notion of attractiveness, and so on.

Okay then I have a question for you both
Details and whats appropriate. I’m doing my best to show not tell but I don’t want to assume the readers are unobservant but i don’t want to fill up a page about describing a wall.

I’ll hit 7k and start wondering if I should split the chapter, AGAIN.

I’ve actually never run into a chapter length issue with my publisher, but then again, I can be a wordy sort of person.  

First jab, told the lady I needed a distraction… didn’t even notice it.   Second jab, I did notice it, but it was quick.

I do have a bit of a needle phobia so I tend to tense up when I get jabs of any kind, so there’s a small chance that might have increased soreness for me. Although the nurse did tell me to relax the shoulder, not sure if it worked  

I was mildly sore for a day after the first shot, and quite a bit more tender for three days after the second shot, along with being really tired for two days. But I would do it again, honestly, because what I feel now is relief. 

Sore arm, several days the first shot, a day or so the second time.  However, I’ve heard worse.

And I’m hoping I’ll dodge the side effects too, JayDee. So far I’ve only got a bit of a soreness in my arm, kind of like I exercised my shoulder a bit too hard or something, and feeling a teensy bit tired, but nothing unusual. 
Now I just have to wait three weeks for my second jab, and I’ll be a vaccinated Neko  

I hope you dodge the side effects. I just had a sore arm with mine, looking forward to the second!
