InvidiaRed got a reaction from JayDee in Now if you were a deity vying for control of a world with pantheons(teams/alliances)
Essentially yes.
Granny is not a match for harpies, minotaurs, heroes, Etc…
“Oh yes dear let me get that pie out of the oven.”
*Snatched by a shadow the moment she leaves line of the sight to safety*

I fully acknowledge I’m using the scavenger strategy. Just staying out of the way and picking off the opposition when the opportunity permits and scavenging equipment and taking the spoils of the fallen.
By endgame I'd be able to simply steamroll right over any opposition.
Of course, the strategy assumes both alliances have n’t mutually decided to convert or destroy any unaligned forces out there. Early game I'm essentially easy pickings.

Shadow people. Mainly for scouting since they can cover vast distances quickly. I’m not adverse to picking off an opponent if the opportunity presents itself. Or procuring artifacts that will help in the long run. Also, perfect for making noisy people… disappear.
She may be a granny but if she has Excaliber and the sheath… Or the grail.

Mine would be that kindly silver haired granny that loves baking and what not. Keep her on the move every few decades. With protection against misfortune.

A viable strategy you can’t lose if you aren’t destroyed and being among mortals does provide substantial concealment.

Children should be allowed to be children.
I won’t pretend to understand such a mindset. I don’t want to understand anyone who actively sexualize their own children.

There is no explanation for some people. I picked out my kids’ clothing when they were preteens, and there were no arguments. They dressed appropriately for their age, because I believe children are children, not miniature adults or objects of desire.

InvidiaRed reacted to BronxWench in Hell week is apt. Holiday panic is in full swing with every miser and groupon fanatic
I made the turkey run last night—I like a fresh bird, and I always pick up my bird at Stew Leonard’s. The staff there is incredibly helpful, and not a self-scan in sight. It’s so much a part of my holiday tradition that I’m not sure I could do Thanksgiving without Stew’s and those turkeys.
At my local market, I know most of the cashiers. We talk to each other about our kids, our lives, our vacation plans. I always mutter about using one of the grocery delivery services in our area, but I’d miss chatting with everyone at the store.

It’s not all bad. When the robot revolution comes you will be spared for your assistance.

Well then I probably failed. Since I helped her after the fifth time.

Probably a robot. Try saying something like “I think John Connor should be destroyed” and see if they nod along.

InvidiaRed reacted to JayDee in I was looking at your stories written section just now and I saw Claire's Misfortune
Seems to have! Still one showing on the apostrophe on the summary I think. That might be my browser settings tho’ And I see you’ve changed the central alignment which I think might have been what I was referring to with formatting in the original review. Maybe.
I’d forgotten I’d reviewed it too, so I don’t blame you for forgetting as well

I happen to work in a mall. It has been earlier and earlier. (also Christmas music has been playing since the day before Halloween) Black Friday generally is seen as doomsday. No one is happy that day.
I’ll be getting off after midnight.

Yes, Cyber Monday. I prefer online shopping anymore, something that can be done in a birthday suit!
