Thank you, it works now! I had the mistaken impression that I needed to clear cookies and cache while the homepage of AFF was open. I followed the instructions and did it all on the firefox homepage and now it works, and I was able to log in as author as well. Thanks very much for all the help!

The forum has never been down. As to the verify age thing, if you don’t have a login, there are still some things you need to do to get past that. It’s a one time thing with the software having been upgraded. First thing, before you proceed. DO NOT use anonymous browsing for this part. You can go back to it afterwards. Be sure to do this from the main page: https://www.adult-fanfiction.org No matter WHICH browser, you must clear cache and cookies for ALL TIME. If you are using Apple products, you must clear cache in all your devices as the products link together. After doing the clear, close and restart your browser. Finally, you need to force refresh. (Press Ctrl+F5) That should fix the issues. You should be able to proceed once you do that. If you’re getting an error about activation, go to the register link and select the drop down option of “resend activation”. Remember, major software changes generally do require this sort of action. If, after all this, you’re still experiencing issues with the age verification, in Chrome/Edge, press F12 to access the console. You’ll see the exact error being generated. Let us know what it is. If you are experiencing bugs, please post them to the bug tracker. What we will need from you are specific steps you took to get the error, and screen shots if you are able. This will help in getting everything fixed, if there are bugs.

Was wondering if anyone knew the name of an old Scifi fanfic. It was about a woman who conquers space with a nanomachine strap on. It’s pretty extreme and I remember the first chapter starting with her being captured and put on trial.

Hi everyone, I’m trying to track down an older Dragon Ball Z fanfiction that I read quite a while ago. The story focuses on (Future ) Trunks, who discovers a prisoner that is revealed to be his older half-brother. In this fic, Vegeta is the father, though i think he never actually knew this son existed—I can't quite remember if the character was born naturally or created as part of an experiment. I believe the OC’s name was Zion. Part of the plot involves the developing relationship between Trunks and Zion. As in m/m. Does anyone recognize this plot or remember the title and author? Any help would be greatly appreciated!"

Chapter 5 draft finished! There’s a character called Kevin, named waaaaay back in 2016 when this thing was actually plotted out (see post with cast list earlier in this thread), so no relation to any Kevins from other stories on here. For example, here’s the legally distinct Kevin in this Buffy story – See? There’s nothing even vaguely- what? Oh, that. That’s just a reference to one of my old LA set stories. Buffy is from LA! ...am I getting sued? Also, for any passing readers wondering why Willow would be ok with a suggestion, by this stage in the story she’s, uh, embraced some of the more porntastic tropes. This thing is employing a lot good ol’ porn tropes. In one chapter Buffy penetrates two vampires at the same time. Admittedly in their hearts, with wood, but the spirit’s there. In chapter 7 there’s a pizza delivery. No fucking clue how I thought I’d do it all in 10k words. 10k words into this thing and she was barely past holding hands, never mind cheerfully engaging in the kind of activities that would make Urban Dictionary contributors go home, take a very stiff drink, and think about their life choices. Little break to take a shot at finishing off one of my old “Turning an RPF fic I wrote into something entirely fictional” efforts, with much the same cheerful lack of quality, artistic morals, or writing talent, as the folks who copy and paste over their fanfic names to become massively famous.

Quite right. I’d forgotten she was his natural mother, that’s my bad, although really it’s common sense with him being the step-brother and her being the step-mother, so perhaps less than forgotten it’s more, had lost the connection.
