I suppose. There is an idea which came to me recently for a fanfic. It’s not directly Halloween related but certainly could be. There’s a fantasy fulfillment aspect to the story which could involve wearing outfits. Not sure if I could finish in 500 words though.

You could always do a flashfic. I’m sometimes amazed by the stories some people can tell in 500 words or less.

Yes although they can also go down a dark path, for obvious reasons. I wrote a somewhat more upbeat vampire story that’s already on the site. The ones I’m thinking about are probably the darkest stories I’ve written. Which isn’t necessarily my own cup of tea but I had an impulse.

Well, it seems I forgot one important thing about NaNoWriMo: It no longer exists. Or at least, the site that was its headquarters no longer exists. I might still do it--or do a “lite” version of it--on my own, but I’ll miss the encouraging emails and live write-ins.

Sadly, I don’t think in poem style generally. Sounds like it would be fun. I have a couple stories that could theoretically be Halloween themed (dark vampire stuff), but not in poetic form. Also not original fiction.
