I stopped looking back at the Holiday 2025 anthology like a month ago, so it’s very fortunate that @Thundercloud sent me an email to let me know he left a review for Meaningful Gifts! And believe me, that was something I was concerned about! 😄 I’ve always felt that exposition, properly delivered, can be very engaging and fun, but a lot of the time the reader gets bored, so I did my best to make sure that information was delivered in a way that both didn’t overwhelm the reader, and also that didn’t feel so much like they were having things explained to them, so much as that they were kind of seeing beats of the siblings’ story, if in a past tense kind of way. Wow! Thank you so much! I can’t remember how long I spent on that, but I spent a lot of time trying to make it as good as I could, so I’m really happy it paid off! And thank you again! I’d been thinking about posting it on its own, so that may have been the final nudge I needed! I feel bad for those who’ve already read and reviewed it, but maybe it’d be worth a reread when I post it. 😅 I’m not sure when I’ll have the next thing ready for posting, but I’ll keep chipping away at it! Nowadays, a lot of websites (including other fanfiction websites) give visitors the option to browse the website through a dark skin, which consists of darker colors that’s a bit easier on the eyes in darker locations. All I ask is for the Adult-Fanfiction.org archive to implement a Dark Mode skin as well that makes use of darker colors instead of light ones. I also think it would be beneficial if the forums had a Dark Mode skin, too.
