I think every non-canadian on this site should write a Canada Day oneshot. New Zealanders are exempt from this half-assed challenge. Because they understand. 

Ugh.  Phase one of my VERY LONG WORK WEEK is done.  12 hours Wednesday, 14 hours Thursday, and 14.5 hours yesterday.

So, I’m on vacation this week.  Not going anywhere, just getting caught up.  Caught up the yard, and am now working on the house.  And the archive.

Time flies.  Realized that last night was two months without my favorite cat, I still miss him as much as ever.

So my dad died recently. He was very old, and was refusing treatment because he was tired of how debilitated he had become, so I’m at peace with it. He had a good life. But this morning, I had my first “I have to remember to tell him about...oh, wait, I can’t” moment, and that made me a little sad.

The duodenum is a C-shaped section of the small intestine that connects directly to the stomach. Medical text books generally state that digestive juices and enzymes from the liver, gallbladder and pancreas empty into the duodenum to aid digestion.  Gallbladder?!  That’s literally nothing more than a reservoir for the bile given to it by the liver! Stop giving the gallbladder credit for something it doesn’t deserve!

NineStar Press is republishing my Witch’s Apprentice series, and Ghost’s Sight, the first book, has cover art. I’m really excited, and I can’t wait for the release date!

So, why do “family friendly” places get so upset when you try to create a family there?

Going to a respiratory specialist tomorrow. Hopefully get an appointment for the biopsy. (I apparently got 15 little balls in my lungs) but I’m still holding out hope that I’m gonna go in there and they’re gonna be like “guuurl we got you. We found out what aaaails you, queeen!! With our big city doctor sorcery! Eat these magic beans, a stalk will shoot out of your ass, and you be cuuuured bitch!” Kuz that’s how doctors talk. 

It’s a good day when you get a first look at the cover art for your book, and it’s completely amazing!

Happy April Fools Day!  (Way more important than some dude getting in a three day sleepy weekend a couple of millennium ago...)

Not happy with the erotica thesauruses I’ve found online so I’m making my damn own. So there. 

This isn’t just another way to procrastinate on my fics, I swear. 

Writer’s blooooock! Maybe I should sit down and write an actual outline… Uuuugggh. 

I have been assimilated into the world of the bespectacled. Huzzah! 
And… You know what? I think I like it. 

Today shall be my first day of work as a CNA! I don't count the orientation day because that was just watching a few videos and filling out a bit of paperwork. Anyhow, I'm very over the moon to start in a few hours. It's an eight hour shift, from 2PM to 10PM. I can hardly wait to start getting to know the residents and my coworkers.

Ok, I think I need to hibernate for a bit. Maybe a couple of weeks. I don't know. People are worried about me.
I just want to sleep. Let me be and be nothing. I am nothing at all it seems. Not even a dream.
What have I done?
Well, I stopped someone from toying with me before they got it into their head that they could… so that’s something. I said I was worth more than that. I think, if I give myself a bit of time, I’ll believe it again. But as of right now… I feel pretty worthless.
Let me sleep it off.
Then, perhaps, I’ll finally start updating my work again. Brienne wouldn’t have stood for that shit either. *nods* I’m right. But I need sleep just now. Lots of it.
 

Keep your fingers crossed for me, looks like I actually get a day off Thursday!

Feeling kind of low tonight, and tired. Just so much stumbling around in the dark without a guide, way too much wondering what I’m doing, every single day, when maybe it’s all too clear: I’m setting myself up.
Hope. It makes fools of us all, doesn’t it? People like to blame love, but love is just a part-time accomplice. Hope is the really vicious one.
I’m sorry for a million and one things, but mostly for being myself. You’d think I would have learnt by now to hide that part. I just never hated it enough.
Well, perhaps I’ll learn another lesson here. Don’t stare at mirages. They’ll make you crazy.
*sighs*
The stress is killing me, and maybe that’s why I’ve had my first serious nightmare in what feels like months, which is what has me awake at just gone four am.
