So I just got home and my new issue of Entertainment Weekly was in the mailbox (April 6 issue). Cover story Harry Potter OotP. I haven't read it yet, but browsed through. Looks like there's some info on the film, test your HP knowledge (interesting picture of Lucius btw) etc. Just a heads up for anyone who might want to take a look.

This is a bit off point, but re: Harry/Hermione shipping.... That pairing makes total sense to me. Hermione's parents are Muggles, Harry was raised by Muggles, so they have that commonality. The films probably do influence the 'ship' as the actors look good together (and, personally, my instinct tells me that the vast majority, like 98%, of SS/HG or LM/HG "shippers" are writing SI CanonSues). Back to the point: Madapple, you didn't answer the question: are you going to be using that amazing plot bunny some more???

Can't help but chuckle over that one, Mourningstar. Reminds me of when I bought the box set of the first five right before HBP came out (10 day reading marathon of the first 5, I nearly went blind). Anyway, I got them at Target, while buying regular stuff, figuring "if the cashier makes a comment, just say it's a gift for my niece." (who incidentally was all of 3-1/2 at the time). Sure enough, the cashier made a comment, which was; "Oh, you'll like these, I love Harry Potter, I've read them all! You'll really like them." It's interesting to see what the UK cover looks like; I read that the US version will have more pages (bigger typesetting). I have no theories, whatsoever, however, about the treasure. Like Madapple, I'm thinking maybe the mincing, slightly effeminate Capt. Jack Sparrow makes an appearance?
