  1. I've never bothered to care enough to ask myself this question. I have never flamed a story that didn't deserve it.
  2. I like to think that I have no kinks, but I know that I could never seriously write about bestiality, unless maybe it was in the form of rape and had something to do with the main villain forcing it and whatever. I also dislike watersports. Rape an incest are actually my favorite things to work on, since both are psychologically fascinating. I have no qualms writing about child abuse (which either makes me sick or insensitive), but the thought of underage sex makes me angry; won't write that. That's about it, really.
  3. I'm more of a het writer myself, but I do slash from time to time. It's sick though. I enjoy slashing Michael and Jason from the Friay the 13th and Halloween movies and I also enjoy a good dose of Starscream/Megatron. Actually, Strscream can be with anyone, but I just get a rush out of reading about him being dominated. It's his personality, lol. Now, as for writing slash I usually use my own characters. I'm very leery of making an originally straight person gay, unless there's substantial subext that can lead to it. This is the only reason that I love the Skinner/Tom pairing from LXG. Alucard/Anderson from Hellsing is another favorite of mine, but that's pretty much it. Like I said, I'm more into het, but I do browse. It's actually easier for me to read slash when it's in the form of rape, which is pretty sad now that I think about it.
  4. I'm a lot younger than most people and I don't remember the good oldies, like He-man (love the remake, though), She-ra, and Transformers (I was part of the Armada generation). However, I do remember G.I. Joe, The Adventures of Zorro, Freakazoid, MIB, Earthworm Jim, Shark Attack (and similar one involving dinosaurs, but I can't remember the name to save my life), and Animaniacs. Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century. Th Fantastic Four..........X-men (long live Gambit!)...........Detention. The Zeta Project. Hmmm. The Gummi Bears. Smurfs. And Dragonball Z.
  5. *shrugs* Started reading porn because no one would tell me what sex was. Wrote some at fifteen, signed on AFF at 16, got kicked off, and now I have returned at 18. Kids are kids, they do what they want. If parents care, they'll monitor better. God forbid if I catch my kids watching porn someday. I'll beat them. But y'know, it's not really your problem. Just forget about it. You're not the world police and chances are you'll never meet this girl in real life. Also, if she's read your story, she's read others. Kick her off of AFF and she'll go back to FF (there's porn there too, and I know cause I write it >.<). But don't beat yourself up over something you can't control. I never care.
  6. Well, you've given me a ton to think about. I will say that my girl wouldn't cry as in "Boo-hoo, *sob* it hurts!" kind of crying, but more like an angry watering of the eyes with an, "Ow! Geez! Ow! Be careful, will you?" As for my guy, I imagine him to be generous enough if he thinks it will make her stick around. He wants to be good enough to her that she'll want to stay with him. I honestly didn't know that the whole pain issue varied from woman to woman. I feel slightly relieved, lol. I would imagine that since my girl has never been with a man in in that sense of the word (and she definately hasn't done anything herself *blush*), there would at least be some mild discomfort from stretching, right? I also agree with the whole "earth-shattering-orgasm" the very first time. I've decided that it's not going to be absolutely amazing with stars and explosions, but they'll both enjoy it At this point in the game, she's come to terms with the fact that she likes the guy, so she does want him. Her shyness concerning her body stems more from fear of her brother's attraction to her than anything; she feels dirty because it was wrong. I believe that she'll be able to be more open with the guy, though, since they both share a mutual attraction. Scars won't be a problem either, since both are warriors and don't really care. Man, you guys are great! I really, really, appreciate all the help and advice! *sobs* So nice...
  7. Hmm, that may work, but I doubt my character would appreciate it that much, even if she is shy. I would think with a little reassurance, even if it's something sarcastic, like, "Stop that; it's nothing I haven't seen before," she'll come out of the shell a little. She already trusts this man with her life, so that part might not be as big a problem as I'm making it out to be. I think the issue is more with him, and making him say and do things to make her comfortable, but without losing any of his image. I can accept the fact that I'm going to have to use the standard cherry-popping scene, with the standard missionary position, because that's what's convenient and what's done in these situations (from what I've read). I plan on sequels, so there's room for heavy development in both of their characters (I do plan on the both of them actually falling in love, or as "in love" as villains get with each other). But what things do I need to make a point on? Like, I know there's bleeding, depending on the girl and other things, but is there anything else? I know tears, pain, and sweat are factors. Anything else to make this as real as possible?
  8. All right, well, I've never written a virgin scene before, so I wouldn't know what to do. So I guess I'll go ahead and beg for advice while I have an audience. What points are an absolute? What do I absolutely need to have? And while I'm on it, I might as well mention that her partner is not the most sensitive person on the face of the planet. They're both in the villain category and he's a pretty hardened criminal, so there's not going to be "love" or anything. I see him as more of an amused spectator, curious about her actions and what drives her. He is more interested in the scientific and psychological aspects of everything. He looks for motives. He cares for her, but it's not "love" yet, for either of them. They share a common attraction, so it's convenient for them to have sex. That pretty much sums it up for them. (I really, really appreciate all the help and advice I'm getting here; you guys are so nice!)
  9. Hmmm, I've had a thing for Tri-Klops since the 200x He-man series came out. Brooklyn from Gargoyles was another. Snake Eyes and Cobra Commander. Starscream. Anybody with masks was good in my book. If I were to go Disney, I'd have to say everyone from The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
  10. Yeah, thanks anyways. I guess that's a pretty good idea, though I'm not sure I know anyone that I'm comfortable talking to about this sort of thing. I'll probably end up doing just that, though, or making some crap up. The story takes place in a kind of middle ages setting, so there'll be no porn watching, lol. Come to think of it, my character would probably curl up and die from embarrassment. Any pointers about where to start with the poll search?
  11. I have an upcoming sex scene where my OC has sex for the first time. I don't want it to be the usual popping-the-cherry kind of scene. I want something different. Like, I was thinking that she could be on top, but I know that's not compatible with her character. I was thinking of a different position from missionary, but I wouldn't have the first clue about positions. I'm a professional virgin, myself. I would appreciate any suggestions and advice on the matter. EDIT: Felt the urge to elaborate. So, she's kind of a ditz. She's short, curvy, and pretty innocent. She's killed people before and isn't untouched by death, though it does cause her grief. She's veeeeery shy about her body and hates to have people look at her. She's very protective about her privacy. She's not completely stupid, though; calls herself an "informed virgin." Wants to sex her man, but doesn't know how. She's also been sexually harrassed by her brother, but I'm not sure if she was affected by it. He, on the other hand, is almost twice her age and has been around the block a few times, with a few women. He's a scientist and an inventor, clinical and well-spoken. He's intelligent and sometimes looks down on the girl for her obvious lack of intelligence. He likes her, though, even if he'll never admit it. He's a hardened warrior who frets about details and is borderline paranoid. They like each other, though it's more of an unrequited love on her part and a distinct interest on his part. She loves him and he's just interested. He considers her as his, though. And he hasn't been with a woman in, like, ten years. I have no clue why I just wrote all of this.
  12. Well, this will probably be cliche, but I had a torture scene where the main-ish character dude was sexually humiliated by his captor, who also happened to be male. It was rough for me, because the main-ish character is like, manly male while the captor just finds the whole "gender" issue annoying. Like, you said that the commander's wife was a fighter. Okay, so sexually humiliating her should have the dual effect of belittling her as a woman, defiling her in her own eyes, causing her to be afraid of her own husband, and mocking her abilities as a fighter. Of course, this all depends if you're willing to get into the deep psychological trauma that rape causes. Is the woman strong willed/minded? Will she heal quickly or will she supress her feelings and try to hide from reality? Will her husband ever be able to touch her again, or will she shun every man that she sees? Sexually abusing her will also have a demoralizing effect on her husband's troops, especially if she was considered to be a strong pillar within their community. Like, if they looked up to her and then saw that she was beaten and raped, it would break their spirit to see such a strong leader forced into that kind of degradation. I could go on for hours about the effects of rape and all, but I don't want to bore you to tears. I hope this provides you with some options! Good luck!
  13. Out of everyone's comments, I'd say that maiafay's thoughts coincided with mine just perfectly, with minor detail adjustments here and there. First off, I'm not new to this site. I've been lurking for years, literally. I've seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. On occasion, I've seen really ugly and just plain godawful fics. I've seen the same on The Pit of Voles. I think what I like best about AFF is that I know that I'll never get kicked off (unless I, y'know, violate rules and stuff). FF is too controlled for my tastes, but I'm very thankful that my story hasn't been reported or anything. The unspoken "YET" looms heavily on my mind, however, so I've decided to move it here as a precaution. The problem that I seem to have is a small fandom. A very small fandom. Miniscule. Minute. Microscopic. I don't know if it has anything to do with the way that people review stories or maybe it does and I'm just too braindead to realize it. What I've noticed is that the stories that jump straight into sex get reviews while the "epic" stories are left in the dust with thirty or so hits (and that concludes my restatement of the entire purpose of this thread). Now, my story has about 22 chapters so far; I figure about three more ought to end the chapter. I plan to make it into a trilogy. There is sex. There is action. There is adventure. There is humor. There is mystery. There is horror (maybe to some people...I hope). As a gesture of good will to the people, there will be more sex. My problem is with the people that take a look at the tagline and go, "BDSM? Hot damn! I'm so into it!" Then, they read the first three chapters and there's no sex. They get angry. Now they're all pissed because they feel tricked. "Where's the sex? Your tagline clearly states that it contains BDSM and I have yet to see my dosage of BDSM. Where is it?" It's called a plot. You know, that pesky little thing that you have to dig around, and perhaps even *le gasp* pay attention to? What's so hard about reading through the meat of the story to get to what you want? It's not as if I write like a textbook reads. I'm not a boring author. I love my humor and whatnot. There's so much more that a person could benefit from! Why is it always about the sex? Maybe that's what the majority of AFF's fics are, but like someone stated before, adult material doesn't necessarily mean just sex. It could be violence, language, or other horrific situations that little kids don't need to be reading. Why are people surprised when they come across a story that contains more than just erotica, or that the sex is spaced several chapters apart? My last real sex scene was chapter 10; I'm working on 23. Not counting a rape scene, that's a long time without any sex. Some people see this as a problem, a lot of you guys see it as a boon of sorts. I guess I'm just glad that I'm not alone on this. I feel better knowing that there are others who share this standpoint. Thanks. (/huggy-feely moment)
