  1. Eh, is no problem, though I feel compelled to note that note all ideas discussed here are guaranteed to show up in the final story Though if you know a story with a seven way giant monster battle with a battle between four air forces, one of them with ground support via anti air fire, occurring simultaneously, I would be glad to hear tell of it
  2. As I said i’m unsure which idea I’ll use, though I must admit the mass chaos of the 7 way giant dragon brawl, in addition to the fight between Drago’s forces (possibly) allied with Hunters, Valka’s Bewilderbeast’s flock, and dragons following the Screaming Death, and any unaffiliated dragons summoned by the female Bewilderbeast if she used the distress call from ‘The King of Dragons’, with Hiccup’s forces waiting in the wings for the signal to attack, would be rather hard to write… dang fun to watch though had the show/movies pulled off such a stunt… I don’t know if Valka would hear the rumors Hiccup had allowed to reach Drago though, or if it would be more along the lines of she noticed Drago had set off on the war path, in the general direction of Berk no less, and went “… That can’t be good.”
  3. As I said am unsure whether to have the movies’ events take place one at a time or simultaneously… Technically the plan was for Hiccup to take out which alphas with MANY stone throwers, blowing enough gaping wounds it their hides to send them into shock… To attempt to explain the ‘ gambit’ idea a bit better... The Red Death is at Dragon Island because she lives there Drago’s forces show up because Hiccup uses the Dragon Hunters to feed him tales about Hiccup amassing a dragon army, just pointing him at Dragon Island instead of the Shipyard as the army’s location The Dragon Hunters are there either because Hiccup hired them or told them tales of untapped hunting grounds, likely planning this to be the moment he double crosses Johan and the Grimborns With Hiccup intending to keep his forces back and slay which ever alpha survives the fight, but things begin to go awry when… A Submarriper, having noticed Viggo’s Shellfire passhing through its territory while following the Hunter fleet, shows up wanting to brawl with its natural enemy The Screaming Death shows up, his curiosity aroused since I would assume the reaction of any ‘unaffiliated’ dragons to multiple alphas and their flocks heading for the territory of another alpha would be “FLEE FOR YOUR SCALY LIVES!” Valka’s Bewilderbeast and his flock followed Drago there, deciding that whatever he’s after they probably shouldn’t let him have it The Berserker Bewilderbeast shows up, drawn by the presence of two males of her species, and gets pulled into the brawl as well
  4. I admit I’m unsure, part of me wishes for Hiccup to take them one at a time, possibly felling them with lithobolos (literally meaning ‘Stone thrower’ in Greek), a model of ballista that launched 100 pound boulders, though Hiccup’s would used cast balls of metal, with the shells Hiccup uses against the alpha dragons being filled with impact explosives, and possibly pointed for better penetration as opposed to perfectly round like the solid metal ‘anti fortification’ shells, blowing many bloody holes in said dragons’ hide to send them into shock However… Another part of me wishes for Hiccup to go ‘full gambit mode’, tricking Drago into showing up with his Bewilderbeast and Viggo with his Shellfire and their respective armies at Dragon Island intending to take out the weakened victor of the resulting three way battle, with the Screaming Death and the Submaripper from ‘Dire Straits’ and ‘Shellshocked’ showing up, sending the plan into mild disarray, and maybe the Berserker Bewilderbeast and Valka’s as well as his flock, leaving the plan in chaos...
  5. Huh… that had not occurred to me… I admit my vague plan for the queen Minions had been for them to be background characters, there and named, but not affecting the story much… Changing the topic, but an idea for how Hiccup could dispatch the Red Death and later Drago’s Bewilderbeast… What if the sorceresses turned him into one of the ‘alpha’ dragons, possibly a Screaming Death?
  6. The idea of Hiccup encountering Ariel as children has merit, perhaps on a Netherghul supervised field trip?.. It has possibilities, I admit I had planned for Hiccup and the Netherghul to start out being able to command 10 Minions and their Mounts, both the MInions’ and the one they themselves are riding, each, with the number increasing as they collect Minion Totems, with the halflings getting a corresponding increase in numbers to keep things somewhat fair, Hiccup’s forces would have the advantage in equipment and discipline though
  7. While I admit I don’t know exactly where I’d place the Tower on a map of the world, I don’t would be near enough to Berk for Astrid to stumble upon it...
  8. That is a point I had not considered about the prologue, which I had been planning to do in ‘training montage’ style, a few lines describing an event, then jump to the next… That is an angle for the Netherghul I admit I had not considered...
  9. That is somewhat the plan I had, with Maleficent, Grimhilde, and Ursula each voting for a different candidate, and Mim, refusing to be a tie breaker, picking a fourth mainly just to amuse herself by being difficult, leading house cat form Mirage to roll her eyes at the resultant bickering and signal ”Who said there can only be one?”
  10. I do admit that my plan had been for the four original Minion tribes to manage to not get lost in this story, partly due to the Tower Heart picking Hiccup as the new Overlord more or less instantly after the previous one’s body had been slain, forcing him to jump carcass to the Wizard’s… who I just realized I still need a name for… as well as the previous Overlord... I admit I honestly don’t see much point to it...
  11. Meh, not sure if I was going to have Hiccup make them smarter or just have them be smarter than the games indicated from the get go, and it wouldn’t be a great increase, enough to allow them to understand the discipline necessary for formations such as a spear wall… Changing topics again, but what if in addition to being able to resurrect deceased Minions, the Blues were able to cast healing spells to try and prevent Minions from dying in the first place?
  12. I admit I hadn’t considered the possibility of the Minions’ minds not increasing in complexity… Any particular reason you suggest 2? And what do you exactly mean by ‘distant past’?
  13. My plan had for the Minions to start out in their goblin like forms, with Hiccup and Zarina manage to make a potion to make the human sized… maybe 6 feet?.. tall enough to be intimidating, but still a bit shorter than Hiccup’s adult height, which apparently according to Dreamworks is 6’ 2’’...
  14. Meh, was just using ‘She Hulk’ as short hand for curvy but muscular woman, similar to using the term amazon...
  15. A fair suggestion, and again I admitted I was unlikely to use the idea, though your previous comment about Hiccup bonding with the girl gives me another unlikely to be used idea, just musing aloud, what if it was with the Netherghuls, with them justifying it as ‘building trust’ before they go out into the field for the first time, given that they’re his bodyguards/commanders?
  16. That is a possibility, though as I said I’m unlikely to use the idea... though it does give him less reason to sympathise with dragons, and as such be okay with using them as attack beasts… Another unlikely to be used idea occurs to me though… What if, since the Minions are all female and built like Marvel’s She Hulk, Hiccup’s first time was just with one or more of the Minions, who would be acting under the sorceresses’ order to ‘train’ Hiccup?
  17. The idea has merit Been struck by an idea that I admit I likely won’t use about when Hiccup and Toothless could meet… What if instead of meeting as young children during the prologue, they didn’t encounter each other until after the events of the first game and Raising Hell, when Hiccup escapes from the Abyss and kills the Red Death, with Toothless being the closet thing to a second in command in the Red Death’s hierarchy of “Bring me food or be food!’ by virtue of being a Night Fury?
  18. Perhaps, though I admit a part of me is unsure if Hiccup will be a dragon rider in this story, possibly with the sorceresses ‘strongly suggesting’ he keeps his feet on the ground Though now I’m struck by an idea for a scene in the prologue after Hiccup gives himself wings, and Toothless, having assumed he meant dragon wings, teases him about his “little bird wings”
  19. These are possibilities, and I admit I wasn’t sure if the newly corrupted sorceresses would be justifiably mad at Grimhilde, or if they’d come to the same conclusion as Fay in the game ‘Evil/darkness feels good!’ and potentially thank her… Idle thought about the idle thought of the Tower Heart and Shards giving the Vikings the ability to turn into dragons like the dragons could turn into Vikings… What if that ability was given to every Viking, except Hiccup, much to his annoyance?
  20. That is a possibility, though I admit the idea of it being a one time per person thing was to avoid the possibility of immortality… Now I’m struck by the idea of Grimhilde indulging in a bit of last second sabotage when Hiccup and the various light sorceresses were charging the Castle Heart, durning both it and the sorceresses, including Snow, to dark magic… And now I’m struck by the idea of Snow stealing Fay’s line of “You’re evil, I’m evil, what’s there to talk about? Get over here.”
  21. I admit now that I think about it I’m drawing a blank on that score myself… best I can come up with at the moment, is when Hiccup goes through the merfolk lands he encounters Ursula’s aged sister Morgana and Ursula is glad to know she is still alive, likely asking Hiccup to bring her back to the Tower so the Heart might restore her back to her prime... which would likely be a one time only deal as opposed to how Gothel used Rapunzel’s hair
  22. That would work, perhaps exaggerating the list of stolen items to induce Hiccup to the aforementioned looting...
  23. I admit when I said ‘family heirlooms’ i had meant the health, mana, and Minion pillars as well as possibly the smelters, but the idea of the heroes actually taking little/nothing and the sorceresses bending the truth or out right lying so Hiccup would just loot stuff has merit A good idea, though Hiccup definitely wouldn’t have his peg leg at this point, and not sure if he’ll get it at all, given the different circumstances of the fight with the Red Death
  24. Fair point again, and another thought about the Hiccup Aza showdown, what if Hiccup had assumed the Aza’s gauntlet weapon was a prosthetic, mainly because he hadn’t encountered such a weapon before, and was suprised when she took it off? That is an idea, though what beast could they hunt?.. And now i’m struck by the idea of what if Hiccup conquering Spree, Heaven’s Peak, Evernight Forest, Dol Gubad, the Golden Hills, and Ruboria was more or less an accident or after thought, his main goal at that point being recovering the family heirlooms the former heroes had pilfered?
  25. A fair point… and going slightly off topic, but I read a bit more on the katars and patas, and apparently Indian warriors would go out into the jungle with one of those on both arms to hunt tigers… I’m not sure if that is awesome, insane, or an unhealthy combination of both...
