    Hi, Lunarsilver!
I have, in fact, thought about doing a gender-bent version of “A Beach Like No Other” – not least because I’m curious about whether it could work. But I’m still letting that idea percolate to see what bubbles up.
FYI, just as the Queen of the Beach is an allusion to straight-shota artist Glassfish, whose artwork inspired “A Beach Like No Other,” the King of the Mists (who created a paradise for men and girls) is an allusion to the lolicon artist Fogbank. (He read the story and enjoyed it, including that bit.)

That depends on in what you mean by “similar.” You might check out “May’s Family” or “The Playground.”

The entire Aimless Babble section, I believe, is limited to forum members.
The forums were originally created as a venue for authors to talk and share ideas, so a lot of the sections are limited to forum members. Non-members can create threads in the Searching for a Fic and Challenges/Requests subsections. Obviously, all of the help-type sections are also open to non-members. In the Fan Fiction section, it will state right at the bottom of the sub-section whether or not registration is required.

As Bronx said the Aimless Babble forum is restricted to members. But you can create a thread for discussions in the appropriate Fan Fiction forum like Melrick pointed out, just label or title it as such. I’ve seen a number of our users do this. If you already have some kind of a discussion going in your Aimless Babble forum thread that you would like moved to the new thread, just let us know and I can move it.

Well, the sequel would definitely have to include Don, now that he’s been teed up.
Here’s one idea: Don has a sister (older, younger, twin, whatever you prefer) who also sees—from her own window--Brad and Kim getting it on, and both she and Don have several more opportunities to do so. (There might be speculation that Brad and Kim are deliberately showing off for them.) Both siblings are initially repulsed but can’t stop watching the incestuous action. And, of course, both start getting in touch with their own forbidden desires as a result.

    For Step by Step
Thanks for your very kind comments!  I’m really glad you enjoyed it.  I was trying for a more realistic approach, since my incest stories – at least the ones I’ve come across – tend to have a more fantasy approach to them and really don’t come across as realistic, and I’m glad that came through.
My original intention regarding the neighbour was to simply leave a bit of a twist ending, because I like surprising readers with something they didn’t see coming.  I’ve thought about a sequel, but a sequel would inevitably be quite a different story indeed to the original one, since that story was all about Brad slowly working his way up to having sex with his mother.  By the time the sequel takes place, that’s already happened, so I couldn’t help but think the story would somewhat devolve into a fairly stereotypical incest story, which would spoil the story.  I’ve got one idea, but hey, if you’ve got other ideas then I’m happy to hear them!

Story deletion doesn’t appear to be working for me there, so I’ll go through the tables and do it that way

I am very, very excited about the upcoming republication of Ghost’s Sight, the first book in the Witch’s Apprentice series. NineStar Press has been good enough to give me a new home, and I couldn’t be happier.
The book is now available for pre-order at the NineStar website, and I’ll add links for third party sites as soon as the book is released. There’s some new material, and a fabulous new cover, so take a peek!

I ended up being off today, so instead of using that time for something worthwhile I took advantage of the opportunity to finish the latest chapter of “Make It All Better.”
I’ve written very few stories in which I’ve become so attached to the characters. The only other one would be “Eddie Forever,” which I took down because I am trying to convert it into a legit novel (by adding some subplot to replace the underage incest sex scenes).

I thought it was high time that I started a thread for general news and discussion about my stories and such, so here it is.
As I’ve mentioned in other threads, I tend to have 20 stories in progress at any given time. The stories I’ve made progress on most recently are “Country Summer” and “Make It All Better.” This does not mean, however, that these are the next stories for which I’ll be posting new chapters, because I’m a flighty bastard who works on whatever story he feels like working on when he has time to write. This is basically the only process that works for me; if I try to force myself to work on one particular thing, the result is often writer’s block.
I re-learned this lesson recently when I tried to make myself finish the last chapter of “Splinter” (just to have the story finished), only to stall out on that story and every other one. But now I’m back in the groove.

I had a lot of fun writing the dialogue for this story. Writing Lisa’s required a lot of consulting with Dictionary.com and Wikipedia.

I don’t have any plans for a sequel, although I do plan to write more Loud House stories.
I’m not big on aging up characters. My feeling is, if I want to write fanfic about adults, I’ll pick characters who are already adults.

Based on my personality and plethora of anxieties... The ability to fade from attention. Like a stranger sees me and is all like "that creature looks totally approachable and not terrified of me at all so I'd better make it converse with me." Then i could just smile and nod and with my epic power i could make them lose interest and go away. I think I'd get that power because i already kinda do it with awkwardness.
Edit: excuse the errors. Wrote this on my phone.

Wow—it’s like I was writing a story for you all this time and didn’t know it.
    No spoilers.
I don’t like to make promises about when the next chapter of a story will be ready, but I did make some good progress on it today, so maybe soonish.
    Thanks for the review!

Long-distance teleportation. I’m tired of getting hosed by the airlines.
But here’s what I think is the more interesting question: Not what superpower you want, but what superpower you think you would actually end up with if you got one.
I think I’d get a power that seems lame but is actually kind of useful, like the power to make people ignore me.

So for a very long time now, I had an idea for an extremely extensive Sailor Moon work, spanning at least every single arc. I had a trillion ideas that I worked through in my head, but it was just a back burner pet project. So I finally decided I should sit down and start writing out outlines for characters, arcs and my changes. I even figured out ways I could work in whole new arcs, and even started working on those. Then I began a timeline of events.
It was when my timeline reached page 30 and I wasn’t even a tenth of the way done that it came to me; this wasn’t just off the rails, it had jumped from and then off multiple sets and was now running across the ocean floor, well on its way to Europe. I had completely lost sight of this being a fanfic and it was becoming an original work sometimes featuring plot elements, vaguely, from an old magical girl series.
Am I alone in this? If not, did you just make it into an original work?

For me, the structure of having a fandom to play in gave me the courage to try to write the worlds in my head. I made my mistakes playing in someone else’s universe, which is not to say I’m not making mistakes in my own little worlds, but it feels rather nice to have them out there, warts and all.

Agree with all of you: When it comes to fiction writing, there can be no hard and fast rules. Yes, 98% of your sentences should have both a subject and a verb, but there’s that other 2% that are so much better if they have only one or the other, or neither. (“My name is Bond. James Bond.”)
That said, rule-breaking only results in good writing when it’s done for a purpose, and not just because the writer doesn’t know the rules in the first place.
