I am thinking that if you have a patient that has had the disease you "specialize" in longer than you've been "specializing" in it, maybe that patient doesn't need to be told repeatedly how to do the simplest little things that have to do with the disease. I am recalling her telling me seven times how to treat a low blood sugar level. (I have been diabetic for twenty three years!! If I didn't know how to do that, I'd be dead!!)
