AmyMcClair Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 I am happy to hear Nanaea is feeling better. I am finished wrapping what presents I have purchased and mailing those that needed to be mailed. I am typing on my computer, but I figure you all knew that. Quote
redsliver Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 I am admitting that I thought Amy was typing at her computer rather than from atop it. Quote
Guest echtrae Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 I am home for lunch and.... I am currently on the phone with customer service. I am now done and need to head back to work now. Quote
redsliver Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 I am finished my second exam of the day. I am going to take the evening off of studying and get back at her tomorrow. Quote
dazzledfirestar Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 I am admitting I am almost done my Christmas shopping. I am afraid I haven't wrapped anything yet though. Quote
AmyMcClair Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 I am offering wrapping advice: use a brown paper bag and put a really festive bow on top. It saves time and money. Quote
dazzledfirestar Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 I am definitely going to try that! I am sure hubby would be impressed by that. Quote
AmyMcClair Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 I am sure he would. (It was my grandfather's way of wrapping presents.) I am going to read some more. Quote
redsliver Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 I am going to steal the brown paper + bow style of gift wrapping. Quote
AmyMcClair Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 I am wishing Red and Daz luck on their wrapping. Quote
redsliver Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 I am admitting that first I'll need some gifts to wrap Quote
dazzledfirestar Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 I am actually doing well in the gifts bought area, but that's about it. Quote
polywolly Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 I am taking Adara of Giovanni up on her offer of assistance. I am expecting you at 9AM tomorrow morning. Bring lots of paper bags. I am interested in the brown paper bag + bow wrapping scheme, but I'm still using paper from 1999 to wrap. You go to one after Christmas sale... I am reminded of a friend who does something very similar, but she uses butcher paper, both white and brown, and then uses rubber stamps and glittery ink, raffia, holly berries, etc to jazz up the package. I am telling the world that these packages are utterly beautiful and a shame to unwrap. I am also reminded that she has the enthusiasm of a caffeinated wren and the stamina of a team of draft horses. Therefore, I expect this kind of thing from no one, especially myself. Quote
Nanaea Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 I am once again going on next to no sleep after being up all night with a sick child (the youngest now). I am still not 100% myself, mostly from not being able to get sufficient rest. Quote
Guest echtrae Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 I am not doing too well myself either. Quote
dazzledfirestar Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 I am wishing both Trae and Nanaea my best and I hope everyone gets better soon! Quote
Nanaea Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 I am thanking everyone for their well-wishes. Quote
dazzledfirestar Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 I am reminding Nanaea that's what friends are for! Quote
AmyMcClair Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 I am sending well-wishes to all in hopes that those who are sick get better and those who aren't stay that way. Quote
redsliver Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 I am telling Echtrae and Nanaea to feel better. I am asserting that if they don't obey that last edict I will be sending in goons. Quote
dazzledfirestar Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 I am wondering where Red gets his goons. I am in search of some good goons but have been unable to find any I like. Quote
redsliver Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 I am telling Daz that I just hire the muscly brainless guys that move back and forth between Nova Scotian Pogey and Albertan Oil Rigs. Quote
dazzledfirestar Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 I am letting Red know that there are way too many of those guys.... but I will look into them and see if there are any suitable goons for me. Quote
Nanaea Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 I am liking Daz's new avatar. I am thinking that I might like it better if it were Gambit. Quote
dazzledfirestar Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 I am thinking a very similar thought to that. I am so far without a Gambit avatar that I like enough to put up though. Quote
