Jadedragoon Posted August 24, 2022 Report Posted August 24, 2022 (edited) Earlier this month I was able to update my account on the main page to the new system and managed to get my password reset and change the email I used with my account (https://members.adult-fanfiction.org/profile.php?no=1296800145) which was a big sigh of relief as I hadn’t logged in for over 10 years prior and had a hell of a time getting my account back! But now a few weeks later I’m having problems as whenever I attempt to login, nothing happens. I try to login via the side panel and I basically get a screen refresh with none of my account options available and it still shows my username and filled in password so when I try to do it again I get the same result. I tried doing a clean browser refresh by deleting my cookies, cached stuff and cleared my history and tried to login but to no success. Finally I tried to reset my password to which my associated email would get a notification for a request for a password reset and to click the link...but then I’m met with ‘This Password Reset is no longer Valid’ and I’m beyond stumped. I also tried to login on a different browser that hadn’t been to AFF and I still get this issue. Any help would be appreciated. EDIT: I also should mention I use outlook as my email and after doing some browsing I see that may also be an issue. Edited August 24, 2022 by Jadedragoon Quote

BronxWench Posted August 24, 2022 Report Posted August 24, 2022 Generally, you would need to log in from the menu bar at the top of the screen, since the side menus only exist in the Control Panel or Profile page views and no longer function for logging in. Try using the dropdown login at the right corner of the menu bar on the top of the archive home page. Your old password should work. If it doesn’t, please let me know and I’ll send you a link via email. The Outlook issues should be cleared up now that our site uses HTTPS protocols. It seems to be better, as far as I can tell!
