You buy them, and they dissolve like cough drops. As they dissolve, you magically learn a language, 1 language per lozenge, and you have to buy each language you want to learn. I remember it’s an older fic, but I can’t remember if there were pairings or anything else. I THINK it was a time travel fic as I was reading a lot of those back then, but it isn’t a for sure.
