Glad you like it, and hey, the story is what you want it to be.  You can keep the porn and sex and maybe get serious here and there while having the fun sex time in between.  This is just a suggestion I made for coherency.

I recommend checking out megamatt09’s story “Side Effect” when you can, as it balanced the sex with the more serious story to great effect, and combined Marvel and DC together effectively into one universe with Spider-Man as the main focus.

Another that I would recommend is EvilFuzzy9’s story “A Lewd New World” where Naruto is the only man in the world and everyone else is a female for him to fuck.

I’m using both of these as inspiration for how I’m handling RexFan12345’s Ben 10/ATLA challenge where Ben goes to an AU of the ATLA world.

Hi, sorry for being late, long day today

Jon’s a good choice, kinda. It’s a little tricky for me to see him as anything other than superman’s young son, but that’s my problem. Honestly i could see a harem story for most of those guys, and I MAY have thought of a secnario for each one. you have to keep it interesting you know? an explanation can be flawed, but i there is a unique series of events and logic, it’s better than none.

My first bit of advice? avoid two things like the plauge, darkness-induced autience apathy and a generic story. I’m not familiar with overlor the manga I’m afraid, but things can get a little boring with a lot of overlord stories. I like praetor’s hiccup take, because he has a clear endgoal planned out and i can see it building to it, an antagonist rather than innocent bystanders and characters you usually like and because the crossovers make sense due to working in kingdom hearts, howver i read an alladin overlord story a while ago and it stopped being alladin in anything other than name really quick. It was a bit like sonic’s ultimate harem, and got dull and inconsistent very fast. What i’m saying is you need a style, a tone and a theme. I know it’s erotic, but erotic is a tone and filter, you need something else to work with or it will get dull quick. Not to mention you need a likable protagonist, which means to much wanton cruelty, excessive angst or not enough peronsality is a good way to kill reader interest.

 

But that leads me to my other problem, a pet peeve. I don;t like "looses all inhibitions" as an empowering character device. Largely because it's treated as a total positive. That’s not how it works, neurochemically speaking, the part of the brein governing empathy is the same part that governs other emotions like fear (caution) and manages rage (i.e makes calls on when it’s needed). A good example of someone with no inhibitions is a drunk, or someone seriously sleep deprived. Their braver and will try things they never would normally but they also illustrate WHY it’s a bad idea. And it bugs me in things like those “dark danny phantom” stories were he’s beating people in a violent rage one moment then carefully aiming his blasts to minimise casualties a few seconds later. That’s an inhibition, and a very, VERY necessary one.

What’s more, it make characters incredibly one-note, and boring to read. the stories better when you don;t know where it’s going and people like that cannot surprise you since you know they’ll do whatever they want and cannot grow because they’ve detached themselves from everything

 

And as snake_king said, the girls need to have a reason to stick around, and inhibition-less aggressive guy can come across as offputting or abusive and controlling. Forgive me for thinking that but I tend to read these for the character and emotional interaction, and, well, a lot of these are girls who would wither fight back against someone like that or have to be broken, preventing them from being that character at all. and if they stick around because they have no choice it can get creepy (there can be exceptions, such as that lord dominator idea, but you need to go somewhere from her being prisoner so you don;t waste a character. maybe trying to urn her views around or using her as a super-weapon because she’s so desperate for violence she doesn’t care who it’s against and they make deals to let her out for it)

 

What’s more, you cannot simply have girls throw themselves at the guy or it’s boring. there’s no conlfict, but what’s worse is that there’s no chemistry or interaction. If you’re reading about a character pairing  you would usually root for and it seems like more of the same that’s a problem.

I think the stories better when their’s a reason for and a reaction too the harem situation, like in snake-kings Ben 10 crossover (were ben treats them as actual human beings and i’m curious how he'll act next chapter), or Praetor’s ben 10 and tinkerbell stories (ben’s constantly surprised by this world and reacts believably flustered and confused, then eager and terrence has a legitamate relationship he’s worried about but is seduced away from). Praetor’s hiccup story is also good, because he may be an overlord, but he’s still acting like hiccup and looking out for people, and it's not him just giong out and claiming girls, they usually come onto him and he is a little bashfull about it at times, that’s a good trait. There’s a few others i could recommend for having interesting reasons for the harem to happen, and i understand yours but you can’t just slap an overlord on an existing character and call it a day, what does he bring to the role?

What’s more avoid falling into repetition, as that will stagnate and sense of eroticism and character and also make it very boring to write. try and thik of something new and special for each character. I liked how in ben 10 omniverse, looma and attea are introduced at the same time by abducting ben and awrring over a husband, and ben’s shock turning to playing them against each other works because he actually does react to the situation. It’s fresh, it’s not like any of the pervious girls, and it keeps ben’s reactions relate-able as he's thrown into new scenarios. It can even be similar, evilfuzzy’s sokka the last man is a completely different layout to lewd new world, despite similar notes, and works really well for it. he even makes a nod to it by having yue, a moon spirit, get the idea from the naruto moon spirit from the first story, but SHE does it out of love for sokka.

Also, while i understand the disillusionment of superheros as an angle, it doesn’t work for superman and family, he’s single-handedly the biggest positive influence on DC and has reformed or retired more criminals than any other and keep casualties to probably the lowest baseline there is in superhero-dom. He’s so good at it that he can walk dying in the late stages of kryptonite poisoning into a bar in GOTHAM of all places and the thugs will trip over themselves to help him. that actually happened. It would work for Damien wayne though, since he was raised to thnik that way and has been jon’s best friend for a while now, so he could be the one to trigger the mental crisis. plus interaction makes things better. It also makes the story more interesting and therefore easier to both read and write if you present arguments for and against such a view. Plus it can be jarring to see such an idyllic character as jon introduced with THAT as his crisis. do it if you want, but ease him into it. He has to begin as a recognisable version of the character.

Again, due praise to Praetor for opening with ben in his normal reality and plasuibly moving it from there, and for opening with hiccup being the nerd we know him to be.

 

Forgive me if i’m taking this in my own direction, i’m just a little sick of that angle in comics at the moment. blame Dan didio. It’s particularly jarring to see it with a character who is supposed to represent the exact oposite and provide arguments for such a veiwpoint. REcently It seems every comic is "batman with this powerset and name vs this month's flavour of the joker or victor zsasz”. And not the good batman with nuancee and interesting characters, ASBAR batman

 

As for Jon, if I may suggest something? What if after being sucked into the source, it’s a “lewd new world” type parody of an amalgamated superhero universe. only female supers (which is at first incredibly offputting since he know most of these guys from back home) and they’re all hyper-sexualised bombshells like in praetor’s omniverse. Then you can parody it by having jon, recently reaching the age of teen or adult and confused about his new feelings, be confused why all these women are so interested in him jus because he’s the only male, meanwhile the villains are also interested because they think he’s a prophecised ‘overlord’ (the unfiltered overlord classic in this case) and try to seduce him into following this path. along the way, he gets a permanant team of the other girls, who are lost from their worlds and follow him to find out how to get back and what’s happening. Alternativly, his being there could casue not one, but two civil wars (hero vs villains and marvel vs DC) over him. The villains manage a ceasfire first, which shames the heroes into looking at themselves and doing the same (which holds together better than the villain treaty, since only one side is prone to you-have-outlived-your-usefulness-ing).

for an example of how this could work, see “planet of the cats” a cat planet cuties fanfic (slash planet of the apes crossover). The story is more tense and funny for focussing on the war rther than everyone immediately jumping into the same bed. It’s a bit twisty, but the last thing you want is to be predictable, thoses anime’s thrive on not doing what you expect, and a straight forward overlord story can get boring as i said. Once there’s no reason for the character to exist other than that they do, it’s dull.

OR

Building off of Snake-king idea, he gets transported into a overlord-type amalgam universe, and is then declared overlord, only thing is, he’s having none of it and acts like a superman instead, using the overlord resources to fight AGAINST the evil their supposed to spread. It would give girls a reason to come to him (protection, political edge, etc) a good reason to actually like and stick around with him stick around with him (being a legitimate good guy and hero, completely unique in the world) and willingly choose to be with him, and also an interesting character conflict and source of comedy. It would also allow him to show off lessons from the Various DC finest he learned from, including the cynical types like batman and ideallic, but effective rulers like wondy, and the guys in between. Follow this up with discovering the various girls 

Plus, the fantasy setting provides an interesting balance on his powers vs his enemies, he's got them serisouly outclassed and can do a phenomenal job of protecting his kingdom, but he need help with magic like all kryptonians, which prevents other characters from becoming unnecessary. However, this does prevent any kind of unified theme, which can make the story seem like it’s been made up on the spot and seem discordant. Unless the girls being frm all kinds of different worlds is part of the story (which would help. Maybe their not the originals, not even jon, just snapshots/imprints from the multiverse brushing against each other, which would allow them to settle in peacefully without having to worry about abandoning home or splitting up)

Just trying to put a spin on the overlord idea. keep it interesting and make the most of it. I understand if i’m going in the wrong direction

 

one of the most intersting takes on the character harem was in those “choose your own adventure” sites, azula wanted power and was attracted to aang’s accomplishments and abilities, so she slowly brainwashed his friends into going out and fetching more girls to add to their ranks via drugged water and individual meetings after making them thirsty through helping them with training in a room she superheated (she likes having power over people. interestingly they were loyal to aang, which probably played into her power fetish) good potential, they didn’t draw it out enough i felt.

I… may have written a settup for a crossover harem in the same site by having an out-of crontroll curse turn everyone in a series into women gradually, necessitating a harem breeding act to keep people alive, but the first series was complete;y changed before they could stop the curse, so the former men, with their own harems, would up moving to the second series and winding up as that protagonist’s ‘first girl’. (the girls think they’re a cute couple and push for it). the genderbent crossover thing was already the prompt, but i thought I worked it okay

I can’t remember the manga title, but there was one were a guy was trying to date a girl, but being the only guy on the island other girls slept with him then spread rumours to their friends who wanted a turn. He want no part in it and is trying to be loyal too/make up to his girlfriend. At the end they ‘solve’ the problem by making her turn so satisfying she blissfully says to go ahead. Tayu Tayu, that was it.

I had this idea a while back of dipper being used as a harem figure with the girls of gravity falls, the book would be full of monster girls from various series (tak, dani, maybe someone from ghoul school) and he’d keep accidentally seducing them or being seduced while finding them, meanwhile in the main plot (this is a return trip, not the original), the head of police (wendy) and the mayor (pacifica) are trying to broker a ceasefire between them after their disasterous early attempts so they can peacfully try to make their moves without the town suffering. since they both have such influence they realise quickly that their feuding has fallout and are force to at least try to play nice. Wendy has become an amazon figure wheras pacifica has been preparing for dipper’s return with dieticians, exercise (and good genes) and become a hyper-busty and hipped girl.

 

Second, inspired by flick-the-theif’s or cochi’s on deviantart (they may or may not be the same guy) gendbend pics and some other sctattered ones, either a male april or normal leonardo are the only male member of the cast of a not-outright-pornographic-but-still=sexually-charged version of tmnt 2012…. with some other versions thrown in here and there. Either leo for the involved POV and estabished interactions with family/potentials or male april for the everyman approach and investigation int events. if the latter, there would be a female clone april as karai’s partner. or heck, maybe male karai seduced to the heroes side by the abundance of cute girls.

 

Another idea I had a while back, good for most settings, is harem challenge combat where a game is set where losers are turned into harem girls for the remaining contestant’s harems. Either a tournament held by a powerful being or just rules off an altered universe people are in where challenges can be issued at any time. Breaking the rules would also result in automatic ‘losing’ and being turned into a harem girl for the person you are connected to the strongest. Basically, first round start with cannon pairings where love interests are turned into sexualised parodies, then 'teams’ are formed via individual harems, then highlander style only-one-can-win. Meanwhile they are trying to thwart the one responsible or escape. One subplot is that the female lead’s best friend is absorbed into her love interest’s (the male lead) harem, but is running interferance so she’ll be her first since the lead is busy trying to stop all this. It’s basically a pron parody of those there-can-be-only-one contests. Weve all seen a series like that, though the series it’s put in doesn;t have to be one. I have a series in mind, but what do you think of it in general, and is there any series it could really work for? Do you It could work for your story?

Okay first, good ideas, but i decided to move away from the manga and focus on the videogames. But the idea of Jon just being labeled an overlord due to his insane abilities and wanting to pretect races seen as evil like the Drow. I also had the idea that his human side has a meta gene, leading him to be as powerful as H'el. (Look him up for context, but he is super OP) 

Also, should Jon kill? Being in a different world and a ruler trying to bring order to the world, his morales may shift to meet demand. But should he? I know its OOC, but I remember Superman from Gods and Monsters and he killed when it was necissary. Maybe Jon could go the same route. 

Also, what about a pseudo amalgam universe? Some of the girls were chatacters from other universes, and others are completly original. Or must it be one or the other?

And I liked your harem fics. The Dpper one especially

I like the ideas you presented, and you bring up good points about how to avoid having characters act OOC.

I think I read a Naruto fic a while back that deconstructed the whole “OP-Dark!-Harem Master Naruto” fics that you see so many of.  It showcased how there’s no way the characters would act the way they do in those stories, and pinned those actions as the manipulations of other-dimensional entities that are basically the stand-ins for the authors of those fics.

Of the two Overlord Jon ideas you presented, I guess it’s probably no surprise that I like the second one best, where he’s transported to a mishmash world where all of these characters co-exist at the same time, and where he tries to stay as a good guy despite his surroundings, which makes for a more interesting story in my opinion.  After all, we live in a day and age where anti-heroes are seemingly and literally EVERYWHERE, so that way it stands out more.

I saw Tayu Tayu as well, although it was a few years ago, so my memory is a little sketchy at the moment.  I remember the ending being that the main guy did the main girl so good that when it was over and she was tired, the other girls stepped in and said they were having their turn with him, and she said, “Oh do whatever you want,” and then collapses from exhaustion.

As for the harem fic ideas, I like the Dipper one as well, although I might need a bit more information on the other two.

I've seen things about it, but not the anime itself.

 

I'd reccomend that jon not turn killer, though given his youth and the circumstances it be pretty understandable. However, I would suggest that while the presure Does get to him, the girls help him out apecifically so that won't happen. The reader Is expecting him too, after all. If gods and monaters is the one i thibk it was, the entire point was his need to grow out of it, he ends the film deciding they cannot earn the trust if the public unless they learn not to kill. With this, while it would make him seem weak, then suspect to his enemies wheb they realise his power, it would also seriously endear him to his subjects.

Imagine a scene where some comes to take advantagenof the 'soft' king, and not only finds hes every bit as nice as they say, he actually savea his life, helps hin with some problems and takes an interesr in his day. The man has no idea what to do next.

I would advise against making him more overpowered than he is. You have a great equalising opportunity here and a reason for rhe other characters to be more than just window dressing. If they make up for his weakness then let them, and watch them grow as a result.

As for the amalg universe, why not go for original? It can work. I've this idea for a pixar/disney superhero themed one for later, maybe the girls you bring in can be filtered tk make th super! Or medival, whatever works.

 

For the dipper one, any monster girls you'd like to see? I'm not picky, but if it has similar themes or art to gravity falls it helps.

 

For the tmnt one, one character would be male, every ither major character would be female and trying to get into their pants (or shell). If i go with leo, it's about a hero trying to focus on his mission while his enemies and sisters are drooling over him, if i go with april, its abou him investigating and winding up helping the turtles and being and awkward teenage boy while doing so (them being innocent to human ways. This method also has a female clone april to replace her now male self as resident boob queen), and if i go with karai, its about him being seduced to the right side by acxident because if all the cute girls. Either way, it'd be a modifeid, sexually charged retelling of tnmt 2012. With a ton of mythology gags. But i cant know more until i decide a lead, which do you reccomend?

The harem contest story started as miraculous ladybug idea of all things, a mysogenistic or porn-obsessed akuma starts a contest to decide the real man, first by turining everyone in love with one of the boys (females or gays) into bimbos, then forces the remainder to compete in games to collect the most. At rhe end of each round, or when a when a contestant fails to meet stabdards, the loser is turned into a love servant bimbo, given to the remaining contestant with the closest bond and has tbeir harem integrated. Since the heroine is out trying to sneak up on and catch the villian, her best friend is trying to prevent any of her love interests harem from getring to him first kit of loyalty (she is accidentally part of his harem after HER boyfriend objected, breaking the rules). It occured to me after that this could be use in other settings. Such as one were quick contests would be set up like a yugioh or pokemon duel, in a highlander lime competion to be the last man standing with a harem of former conpetiotors, or you conquer the person running the game and have only allies left, since it can only end when every participant agrees. That would let it work in a nu.ber of settings, like a marvel/dc crossover civil war where jon is the pov newconer to this world and the villains are secretly running the contest, until discovered. Then  they start losing fast

Also, i thought i would have more girls to suggest, but what do you think of the totally spies girls as sheild, or whatever agency, agents?

I havem't fleshed it out completely yet, but leo would be his canon adorable self, trying to block out distractions and tripping over flirts from.... everyone.

male!april would go looking for answers and get drawn inti the conflict, trying to not obly survive and give aid but hide his errection.

Male karai would be givem the same chance at redemptipn as in canon, but only realise they were right after he followed the pretty mutant girls witbout thinking (and that the pretty older rat girl is his mother.... or maybe once father).

Scenes i clude training sessions that get hot and heavy, interrogstions tbat do the same and faili to get as much real training done. Also, karai would be more of a 'cute' mutant in her humanoid form if not chosen as lead. And if not chosen as lead April would probably be split into her older and younger designs as sisters, though in eitber case clones can be used instead. Look up the artists for examples of what might happen.

 

Still open to guidance or suggestions. This is a pretty loose outline at the moment.

So, do you mean you want to have SnakeKing’s idea for girls of other cartoons in the rolls of RPG NPCs or have completely origional characters.

Also, I’ll probably have Jon in a strict “Kill only when absolutely necessary” rule. He’s a young man trying to establish a global order, so it makes sense to have him be a killer.

And BTW, Jon is already stated to have a dormant meta gene in his human DNA along with his Kryptonian power set. So why not pack that shit in and make him like H’el? He’d still be vulnerable to magic, and getting a handle on his new powers would take a tremendous effort on his part as to not make his whole kingdom disappear.

No, you misundeestand. Last time you were asking if it had to be a straight up superho amalgam universe and i was trying to say that you shouldn't be afraif to invlude originals, like you asked, so long as they fit the overall setting and theme. I was saying go for the setting you want!

That’s not a problem. Remember how despite Supes being capable of seeing and hearing things millions of miles away yet still taken off guard by anything? Plus magic has always been a consistant weakness with kryptonians, even H’el, who’s written to be the ultimate kryptonian, and can even time travel, died from a magic sword.

Well reason, however theres abtrap to fall i to here. You want to avoid ONE character doing all the work. It's why superman's supporting cast is so strong. A story about one guy who wins every time is boring, you need to spend time on the people around him. Irresponsible captain Taylor wouldn't be nearly as interesting without the rest if the crew for example.

That is somethibg to consider, but if you keep them mostly to minor roles or ones where they fit, like villains, it can work. Yoi're thinking of the right things, just keep it in mind. I liked the list of roles for those third party characters. Plus you can make the dissonance work fot you, as i said before.

Maybe the antagonist is pulling them to the new world after it's done and that's why they don't fit.

But yeah, that is a real concern, so feel free not to use them.
