The old kingdom had Seers (they might be called something else) who could see the future. One of the Seers betrayed the others drugging they so that they could not warn their king. However the king before he died sent his wizards/mages (either name) to kill all the seers for their betrayal. Howver one seer survived and became thhe love interest of the man in charge of the army that conquered the kingdom. Another character in the story was a healer who becomes the love interest of the prince of the conquering kingdom. Another character is a sculptor/artist who becomes the love interest of a wizard/mage of the conquering kingom. Their first meeting was of the sculptor/artist sketching the mage/wizard and when the wiard/mage reminds the artist/sculptor he is the enemy.
