Guest Force Posted November 28, 2023 Report Posted November 28, 2023 Binged this over the last couple weeks after a recommendation and have been enjoying it so far. Sorta wish we got to see a reaction from Heather though. Feel like she was playing a big part behind the scenes when they got back together so getting something more there would have been nice. Quote

Jashley13 Posted April 5 Report Posted April 5 Hey all! So I may be a little late to the game, but BashfulScribe recently finished up his ‘Consequences’ series, his follow-up to ‘Being More Social’, which, ironically, was somewhat spawned from ‘She Is The One’. Not taking credit, of course; Bashful is a good enough writer in his own right that I’m certain it would have existed without me. I have my own thoughts about the series but please, if you can, support his writing by bopping over to his site and giving it a read. Give all of his stuff a read! He’s put out stuff far more regularly than I have and it’s all worth a read. Just look him up on Google and you should find his site. Quote
Guest Okeydokey Posted April 6 Report Posted April 6 Is there anywhere that SITW is available as, say, a PDF of multiple chapters or anything? Quote
Jashley13 Posted April 10 Report Posted April 10 Well, lost the majority of the chapter I was just working on so starting over! Fun computer quirks. The next chapter might be a little delayed but I promise it will be out as soon as possible! Quote
Jashley13 Posted April 23 Report Posted April 23 Chapter 210 is up! So sorry about the wait! I’ve made sure that backups are in place to prevent that happening again Hope you all enjoy! Quote
Guest UK David Posted May 1 Report Posted May 1 Interesting chapter .... maybe lack of response due to relatvively mundane slice of student life – give or take the odd pseudo-religious persecution, of course! Gives me a chance to ask a question about drama/theatre in US colleges today: when I was a student many, many years ago in England, there was no Drama major (true theatre wannabes might go to a theatre school like RADA). What there was, however, was a very wide range of opportunities to perform, or watch, ranging from near-professional with auditions and sometimes professional directors (the University Drama Society), college (roughly equals hall of residence) drama societies where anyone could have a go at anything and some did extremely well, light opera (Gilbert and Sullivan) societies if you thought you could sing, comedy clubs and revues if you fancied the Edinburgh Fringe and possibly BBC, light entertainment if you wanted to perform in front of people who couldn’t get away (old people’s homes, childrens’ institutions, prisons) and so on. So my question is, does all that ‘amateur’ effort exist in schools like Iowa State, but perhaps was not worthy of notice from the ‘professionals’ in the theater major, or is the expectation that those, like Kayla, who performed pretty well in High School but had other priorities in college, will simply give up? Sorry the question got so long: hope it’s clear. Quote
Guest UK David Posted June 1 Report Posted June 1 Just to say, I’m sure the absence of responses does not in any way imply a slackening of interest. Please don’t feel discouraged: I for one am waiting to see whether Jack’s reply gets him any further in this ‘war. Quote
