I shall be joining the Navy as an IT Specialist. I'm looking to get stationed on submarines (familial tradition and all that) and also looking to make the jump to officer ASAP. I would love love love to get the Travel Saga done before I leave but I don't know how that's going to work out. All I can do is promise to work my absolute hardest.

I've been reading this story since xnxx I have never posted before I guess this is a good time

Best of luck in the navy

I have served in the armed forces too

The difference is I joined the army and was deployed to Iraq

Good luck with getting to officer I only made it to Master Sergent E-8

Best of luck.

You light up my day with SITO, and this chapter was no different.

As best I can recall, Jashley is 25 and a college graduate and already has some private sector work experience in his field. Those would likely make an easier path to officer.

My son went into the Army reserves out of high school, made sergeant in 3 years, and spent some time on active duty. He's been out for several years now.

Hey Jashley first off, another great chapter from you. You are truly a very talented writer and I look forward to continuing to read your work for as long as you will keep putting it out there. Now to real life stuff, thank you for choosing to serve our country, I give you all the respect in the world man and I hope and pray basic goes good and thank you for your service

Ffffff

Okay, what is that? I think Mr. Guest fell asleep at his keyboard.

One thing I don't get is Rhona putting up with Paul constantly hitting on her for so long. She whined to Jack that he started back around Christmas and now it's June? Doesn't sound like the Rhona we all know and love. I would have thought that she'd have told Paul in no uncertain terms to 'FUCK OFF' or maybe even smashed his testicles into jelly. Could be that she has an unspoken reason for stringing him along.

BEst of luck for you Jashley in your future.it been fun reading the whole SITO series since it started from xnxx.

About Story. i think Jack should have said "yes" when Amanda asked him if he was't with Kyla and she was not his sister, would he be interested in her?. It might helped her feel better.

Other thing is that Jack will be tempted now more ever than before.Although "Sister, brother" persona which Jack and Rhona are developing might get complicated. He might be checking out gals at Gabrocon and she will notice and guess that he is deprived.

I wish its all packed and they end up in same room.ha ha,too much for Jack to handle :)

On other hand,i feel sorry for Amanda.she was there for Jack when he was alone. He should do some thing to get her confidence back, otherwise she will get used by some moron and when he also leaves her after he gets what he wanted, she will be damaged goods.

So plz Jack do some thing. The words wont do now.may be a lovely kiss or some intimate moment? just for sake of her.he is a good actor so he can do it.but i worry will he able to hit brakes becasue he is deprived of sex now.?he he.and for guilty consciance at end,he did it for saving her.Its a win win :P

I hope im not offending anyone with my question, and i know i could be asking this anywhere else, but this community has proven to be quite mature since ive been following this story, so i figured this would be as good a place as any to ask this. Why would someone want to join any armed force? I am from Hungary, so maybe i just have a different perspective, or cultural background, but from where im standing, there is no large amount of personal gain to be acquired, or significant benefit to society from another person joining an already humongous army with vast resources, most of which is heavily underutilised as far as i know, since there are no great wars going on right now. Over here, our army has basically no respect, since it is mostly a useless joke, especially compared to yours, so it is not really a huge part of our culture. I simply cant place something like the army and a regular job on the market on the same scale. Our brilliant writer and many other people make it seem like its the most natural, everyday thing in the world to join the army, yet i cant even imagine me or any of my friends ever doing something similar. So, opinions? Cultural difference? Im simply a selfish prick? Or is it something else?:)

Well the reason I want to join the army in a couple of years is that I want to get the best training that I can to be an engineer and the way I see it is this. I can either pay £9000 a year to go to university and learn, or I can get payed £20,000 a year to learn and use the skills. And yes, there are no major wars at the moment but the armed forces still help with humanitarian efforts in war ravaged countries

Fair enough :) would you prefer to use these skills in the military or somewhere else down the road?

Hey everyone! Just past the halfway point of the chapter so should be done soon :)

In regards to the question of serving in the Armed Forces, well...there's several reasons for me. First and foremost is the fact that I was raised in a military household (Navy brat). Thus, I'm somewhat familiar with the lifestyle and found ways to enjoy it. It's something I always felt I would end up doing someday, just because of my familiarity and the values I was brought up to respect. Second, as that-one-guy said, there are major benefits to becoming specialized in certain fields. I have some IT background, but it's more in a Help Desk environment. I feel like I can get a bit more in-depth with my training in the military, which will help me when I leave...IF I leave. Another major factor is that...well, I'm kind of driven to be the best. One of my major personal philosophies has always been that if you can be the best at something, there's not reason NOT to be. My father retired a Commander; therefore, I want to retire at least a Captain. Selfish? Perhaps, but I've never thought it was a weakness to want to be the absolute best at something.

And yes, there are all the other usual reasons people list: become a better person, serve my country, etc. etc. I think all of them factor in at some point, but another one that really drives me is security and benefits. My wife and I plan on having a child within a year or so and the benefits of being in the military will certainly help with that. Granted, that comes with having to live wherever they tell me to live, but she and I are perfectly fine with that. And believe me, I will certainly not be stopping this story because of it :)

My dad also retired at Commander's rank. You have your work cut out for you-- the competition for advancement in the officer corps is very stiff. Any idea where you will be sent for basic training?

Boot camp for Navy is up in Great Lakes. After that, A School for the IT field is down in Florida, I think. After that, it's wherever they tell me my duty station is.

I did some reading on the Recruit Training Command at Great Lakes-- that place has quite a history. I didn't realize that since the draw-down it has become the Navy's only basic-training Boot Camp.

Hey guys! Not too much longer on the chapter. Would have been further into it but I worked a 13-hour shift today so that ate up most of my time xP Still hope to get it done by the beginning of next week.

Just a heads-up: it's going to be about the same length as the last chapter and features very little in the way of conflict or huge events. That might not be a problem for the readers (and it's not really a problem for me either, to be honest), but it's such a change from the drama-heavy Voyeur Saga that I actually stopped and wondered if I was doing somethiing wrong. So weird once you've moved past the big-time events and gone on to something more...familiar. Relaxed. Casual. Any of those words probably work. Not to say that this is a BORING chapter or anything (I hope), but it's an interesting departure from how I've done things before and yet another reason I'm so glad I moved to AFF. On the blue site, there's a huge demand for each chapter to have sex in some degree. Here, I can go a couple of chapters with sex at ALL and no one bats an eye. It's so liberating and helps me feel like the author I want to BE, rather than the author I feel I HAVE to be.

And, of course, this is all thanks to you loyal fans and readers. I know I've thanked you all before but I really can't say it enough. You guys are the best and you have no idea how good it feels to see another comment or review on my story, no matter what it says. Good or bad, like or dislike, I'm glad someone cares enough to make a comment on the story. So thank you all again and I shall continue working hard to reward your loyalty :)

First of all, good luck at Boot Camp, and thank you for your service.

If the twins are a year behind Jack, then sometime this summer they're probably going to go for summer jobs. After all, having a girlfriend and hanging out with Helena at the mall is going to hit you in the pocketbook. This could be the cause of the new summer drama of the Travelling Saga... the car. With three teens going in three different directions, I can foresee many an argument once the twins start driving. Alan of course would want the additional privacy (If this car's a rockin'...). Amanda might use the car as a means of exercising freedom and escape from her current situation. I doubt Jack could teach them to drive due to traffic laws, but I think that might be hilariously awkward.

That's a good point. I mentioned last year that three high schoolers and one car was bound to cause some friction. They will all be 18 near the end of July-- holy crap! Hannah and Mike may have to buy another car just to keep the fighting to a minimum.

Chapter 54 is up :) Sooner than I thought it would be. Surprising but a welcome surprise :)

And, since I'm on a roll, I'm gonna go start Chapter 55 now. I want to get as many of these done before I leave for boot camp as possible. If I could get to the end of the saga, great! If not, I'll at least get as much of the story out as I can before I go. Talk to you all soon!

Great chapter. Love the interactions between the groups. Just wish we could find out why Allen is being such an ass to Amanda. On a more personal note, good luck in basic. As an Air Force Veteran, I wish you well and hope you and your wife find a great permanent duty station.

Yeah...The whole Alan being an ass to Amanda started either January or when he first slept with Kelly, whichever was first. It's a little jarring, since after the whole Sam/Joe fiasco, Alan acted as if he gave a shit about Amanda. Now? Now it's basically Amanda is a pest to him. I figure, at some point, either at the end of this saga or the beginning of the next-basically pretty soon-the twins will end up in a confrontation where Amanda revokes the deal they made, saying something to the effect of, "Why would I wait for you? Besides how you've upgraded to Kelly, you've treated me like shit, like you wish i was gone. Fine. Have fun with her. We are done, Alan Harrison." I probably missed other things she could say to him, but the sentiment is, considering how he's treated Amanda, she's basically almost, if not already, at the point where she says she's not going to be a rebound for someone who, maybe in her perspective, used her for sex and only cared about that-see how he, since sleeping with Kelly, has treated her like shit.

Maybe-- just maybe-- Kelly has hinted to Alan that she is attracted to Amanda so he's jealous. Wonder why Jessica wanted to talk to Jack so badly but wouldn't call or come in person? Has something to do with Belle?-- or Brad? I also wonder what is the reason to sell the cabin. A good chapter!
